Sorry. Wrong Frank
Re: Lucchese Arrests NJ State Case - April 2025
I just find this entire arrest absolutely ridiculous. They used a swat team because guys were playing cards in a back room of a cafe and some guys were placing bets!!! Its so utterly ridiculous and such overkill. Meanwhile our communities are being infested with violent thugs who are committing home invasions, car jackings, and stealing our cars. Go after them!

You don't think the Lucchese guys who got caught here are taking money from home invasions and financing drugs on the street?Aces wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 6:39 am I just find this entire arrest absolutely ridiculous. Excellent point - you wonder if the older guys who've been doing this for decades and served prison time also just don't trust anyone anymore - especially the younger guys - its a risk to be that close to the extortion but also a risk to use anyone who can rat on you or fuck it up.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 6:36 pmThat's a good point.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 11:25 amMy only conclusion is rackets are so far and rare these days, guys up to top are getting more and more involved to get a bigger piece of the pie. Because theres just nothing else coming in.
Like the Colombo bust recently. 3 Capos, a conisg all involved directly in extorting a union guy for a couple of grand a month.

The case isn't at the indictment stage yet. Criminal procedures work differently in NJ state cases. The defendants have been formally charged in a complaint, and now the case will go before a grand jury before indictments are issued.

I mean it’s easy to just say that but there’s literally no proof these guys did anything violent. It’s overkill to raid their houses with swat teams in tactical gear. When’s the last time a made guy or even an associate shot it out with the cops or even resisted being arrested. It’s a joke and it’s all a big show they put on to make them feel important.NorthBuffalo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 6:50 amYou don't think the Lucchese guys who got caught here are taking money from home invasions and financing drugs on the street?Aces wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 6:39 am I just find this entire arrest absolutely ridiculous. That’s the guy, Adriana. My Uncle Tony. The guy I’m going to hell for.

Maybe they shouldn't have a fucking NJ councilman running poker games. Law enforcement isn't going to ignore that.Aces wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 6:39 am I just find this entire arrest absolutely ridiculous. Chunk Londonio 2005 I would assume right? I don't blame the government for wanting to embarrass these guys in front of their neighbors and make a show of force - I agree the SWAT shit is overdone and if we are cutting costs in the public sector, this should be first on the list. However, its never just 'gambling' with these guys - they are all into other shit and if 'gambling' gets them off the street, the government is doing it right.AntComello wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 7:09 amI mean it’s easy to just say that but there’s literally no proof these guys did anything violent. He’s going to end up doing a few years on this then supervised release, seems like the family is in good hands with DeSantis anyway not sure why they’d want to rock that boat.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 11:59 am Jeez. Short Sell. Georgie's a panel member slash shadow boss.
If Amuso dies and Zappola is still away I wonder how the transfer of power will play out.

Schratwieser is saying this case involves cooperating witnesses and confidential informants.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 12:15 am Unless someone flipped and is willing to finger, anyone higher than a soldier nabbed on a gambling charge is a joke.

Lot of guys still in the Mix apart from Georgie.
Papagni, Barratta, Giampa, Santorelli.
I love how everyone knows that Zappola is christened for the crown. Powerful guy, sure. But annoiting him on the internet, ok pal.
He goes away, Mike DeSantis for sure is crowned. Even if he doesnt its Mikes for the taking. Love it how we all know how he 'feels'.
