It's the same as Joe Colombo's Civil Rights League. Joe Colombo citing discrimination as a reason for his son's arrest and then inventing a phony cause to really behind shows you how someone can abuse the civil rights movement for their own gain. We see it today with some of these groups who turn criminals into martyrs because of their skin color.Wiseguy wrote:That hat...the hell? Also people loved John gotti he was like a modern day Robin Hood a handsome hoodlum the reg joe could look up too.... Also in the last 80s and early 90s large cities police were running wild beating innocent people with knight sticks and taking advantage of citizens. For what it was worth a lot of New Yorkers loved gotti even though he was taking advantage of the whole city. A lot of Italians had the attitude of "those are bad guys but they are OUR bad guys and are only bad if you cross them"

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

ha ha ha no not at all you know me better then that although I got a kick out of your post. But it's been documented in that time period the police were running wild stealing drugs stealing money setting up people extortion, much like the Miami dade area in the early 80s. The nyc police dept at that time was hiring just about anyone who wanted the job that hadn't got a felony in the last five years.Pogo The Clown wrote:phatmatress777 wrote:Also in the last 80s and early 90s large cities police were running wild beating innocent people with knight sticks and taking advantage of citizens.
