No; I don't have it in front me, but I believe he just mentioned Dominic as being involved with the Outfit in an affidavit focused on John Matassa's mob ties as a union official.

The Excelsior Hotel was the hotel that Natalee Holloway was seen before going missing. That is what shined the light on him. Who knows if people would even be talking about him if she had not been at his casino before her disappearance. Never been to Aruba so I can’t comment on their size but I guess huge would be the wrong word. I can see how the names can get confused since they change names all the time and it’s hard to keep track who the owner is. A quick google search I did came with these casinos being linked to Posner. No idea how true it is:

Aura Casino, the Excelsior Casino, the Orchid Casino and Cool Casino. The TRYP by Wyndham hotel does not have a casino I see. Either way, the guy has done very good for himself after serving 8 years for running a house of prostitution, the Roman House strip club, and the fact that he has been able to legitimize himself after his criminal convictions in a foreign country like Aruba is fascinating to me.

Where does he stand in the Oufits organization right now? Would it be a safe bet to say he's the acting Capo of Grand Ave right now instead of Spina? I wouldn't doubt that at all to be honest with you.

I understand that. Its a proven fact that sometimes guys are more important than what they are labeled as. Which to me if I'm playing the percentages I firmly believe Bobby has more status than just some "associate."

There is no concrete evidence that Spina, Vena or Dominic are made even though i believe it is highly unlikely that they are not. I might be going out on a limb for this but I would say Dominic is higher ranking than Spina. The fact that it came out that Dominic has control over at least 3 sweep stake machine companies tells me he is a huge money maker. He is also very close with some very heavy outfit guys like Vena and Posner. Spina has never really been implicated in anything besides driving Lombardo around on city time.

You must not have read the Stier, Malone, Anderson Report. Spina was integral in the broader union scheme and controlled Jimmy Boy Cozzo's relatives in several leadership positions after he passed. He was on surveillance meeting with Vena and Andriacchi multiple times and this was decades ago. Today, we know he's a multimillionaire in real estate.

Dominic was more interesting to me as it appeared he was working for Frank Schweis at some point given he took over protection of the Weiss prostitution places when Schweis was on the run during Family Secrets.

A few interesting tidbits I've learned about Dominic -

Richard's is named after his late brother. Bunny Dominic married a Jewish guy whose family owned the Harlem Globetrotters (Avi Berkeley). They are also related to Posners by marriage.

Gotta say the remaining guys in Chicago seem to make big money.

As I mentioned in the past, Spina is no hermit. I have seen him out more times than I can count. Last time I saw him he was at the Rosemont Outlet mall walking around by himself which I thought was funny bc usually you think of these big shots having body guards shadowing them. He is in the company of Fratto a lot. He also hangs at the Hardware store on Grand Ave.

Since we are talking about current Outfit bosses, I will throw this out there. I have heard recently from a retired Outfit guy that the current boss is Rudy Fratto. To me that makes perfect sense. Fratto has a table at Capri where people come to pay him respect and despite being 80 or so he still is active and likes the power that the image brings.

Posner inherited the casinos that Cozzo and Frank Milito originally had going. There is a lot of old articles about those schemes - Posner took over as they died and my view is that he was very close to Grand Avenue and what was largely the broken up northside crew (guys like Cozzo/Milito/Dominick/Matassa). I agree he is interesting as he was running Lake County at one point aligned with Cicero - I tend to think he fell into the casino thing towards the late 1990s.

Posner was mentioned and interviewed several times around the Natalee Holloway disappearance - a lot of internet conspiracy types were sleuthing Posner and I think he really stepped back after that.

I believe Posner took over the Excelsior Casino in 1998. I remember reading about Jimmy Cozzo and Frank Millito being involved in stuff in Aruba but don’t remember the details. I thought it had more to do with a hotel or casino that went bankrupt? Do you have the article? Frank Militto is still alive and owns Orso’s on Wells and numerous gas station and other real estate. Cozzo died in 2005. So if anything was inherited from them then it was done before their death and must have been an administration order from the top.

Frank Milito. At one point, he was the Kane County Coroner in Illinois. He was implicated in the Charles Merriam murder - he was doing over 8 years in prison while telling Amoco he was living in Italy to try and maintain control of his gas stations. When Merriam tried to take them away, he disappeared.

It's insane that he still owns a gas station near DePaul Campus - I imagine that is big money.



On Posner, I would wager he is one of the wealthiest guys around LCN today - especially the non-Italians. I have a great old photo of him and his father 'Pee Pee' Posner who was a strong arm for Leonard Yaras and a union delegate.
