Bingy's Book
Reading Arillotta's South End Syndicate. Pretty good gritty, street level stuff from an area not usually covered. Picked up a companion book on the area to read next.

Re: Bingy's Book
I picked up both, also but am first starting Peter Chin's (Ghost Shadow) book. From what I've read, I will regret purchasing Gigi's book. If I had one request, it's be everything Angiulo. For all the prison and wiseguy tube, there's not much out there.
Re: Bingy's Book
something about that guy rubs me the wrong way after reading
Q: What doesn't work when it's fixed?

Re: Bingy's Book
I thought the book was terrible
To sum it up, Anthony Arillotta is a scumbag - the end

Re: Bingy's Book
I think the book is informative in terms of the players involved. I don't care what Arillotta is like. The other book is City of Betrayal.

i found it difficult to follow all the different names

Re: Bingy's Book
Yeah, the book jumped around a lot. At least I'll never forget Joe Manzi's nickname--Caga Sotto.
Arillotta talked about going to jail in 2010 and, in discussing who ran his rackets, he mentioned numbers. The book was written with a retired local cop, but numbers in 2010? It seems very unlikely, but also not something to bother to lie about. Anyone know for sure?
