According to her podcast with Michael Franzese he was her maternal grandfather.

She also says her father Albert de Matteo, born July 29 1932, grew up in the Bronx and was involved with not only his (successful) furniture business but also the mob.
Also allegedly connected, were his father, Drea's grandfather, who owned a pizza business on Arthur Ave and an uncle of Drea's who was connected with via the unions.
Don't know if Albert DeMatteo and his son John DeMatteo of the Bronx Gambinos was perhaps her great-grandfather and grandfather, respectively, or if this is someone else. Its a fairly common surname, but they were apparently in the pizza business as well.

I just found Lcn bios where it has John being born in 1910 and dying in 2006. His 2006 obituary says a son Albert and 14 grandkids who are not named. Sounds possible

Drea’s grandfather & uncle were Gambino members Albert “Pizza” DeMatteo (Mar 17 1891 - Jun 30 1965) & John “Johnny Pie” DeMatteo (Sep 7 1916 - Jun 10 2006). LCN Bios has an article on them
