“Da bullets don’t have names”. Old school Chicago saying, takes me back lol.
OK pardon my ignorance what does that mean? Thanks for the info on Cicero/Chicago criminal geography in your post BTW. Austin is where that Bobby English kid got it IIRC.

Shit I forgot to check if he was on NBC. Here's Louie's Peacock Network appearance, he's actually in this twice so watch to the end:

Means sometimes people get hit that aren't intended to be hit
I missed this earlier but be sure to also watch these two all the way through as his interviews are split in those with the latter parts toward the end. You don't want to miss him making automatic gunfire onomatopoeia with his mouth or expessing concern about how we are all getting inured to violence.
Anyone know why most chicago posts get pulled down on Reddit? Someone posed a question as to whether or not Louie Rainone was going to get reprimanded by the Cataudellas for his news interviews, and the post got taken down

Not sure, but how is anyone going to be able to answer that question?

I've actually been warned of this by sources who share photos and intel with me on Chicago. The Chicago guys monitor their names on the internet and have their lawyers sue. I was told (and I was not a member) that on the original Real Deal forum, there was a Chicago Outfit guy whose name could not be typed as he had given Kenny several 'Cease and Desists' and was monitoring the forum. I tend to think the Joe Fosco saga kind of intensified this in Chicago - some of these guys are totally unknown to law enforcement or have been off the radar for several decades like Caruso, Ignoffo, etc.

This is exactly what I was thinking, and it makes a lot of sense. Thanks for this response.

If you typed "Todaro" on The Real Deal it would post as "Dotaro". Happened to me a couple times, I didn't get the memo so I thought I had kept making the same typo repeatedly. Took a couple times before it sank in that it happened automatically.
Very rare photo of Joseph 'Black Joe' Amato as a young man, circa 1930. I've learned some insights into his later life including his semi-forced retirement and some of the Outfit's presence in the far north counties today. Apparently despite conventional wisdom, Amato groomed DeLaurentis and introduced him to many of the local village presidents who did their bidding via Amato's hunting grounds in north barrington, il- later, when Amato needed money, DeLaurentis stepped in.

Good photo
Yes, I think the idea that Amato was squeezed out was proven false by Nick. He testified that Sarillo was refusing to pay street tax to Amato. I think the newspapers theorized at the time that this was a feud for control over the NW counties. DeLaurentis was arrested with Amato in a gambling den bust in the 1970s. Amato probably legitimately "retired" by the mid-80s and Ferriola and his crew moved in.

Great stuff! What intel did you gain about the outfit presence in the area today?
What do people think of Giaocchino ‘Jack’ Galione’s personal place within the family at this time? Based upon the indictment, he seems like a lifer who is pretty feared & has ties to the Cassanos (who are killers)
That entire Cassano-Galione case was absolutely wild. It was one of the biggest signifiers of legitimate Outfit activity in years, and yet, they managed to dodge the prosecution & escape without making too many major headlines. The Chicago guys are like phantoms. There isn’t another family that shuns the public and the media the way that they do.
