Re: The DeCicco truth
I wonder if DeCicco went along out of fear of being clipped. I can't see a circumstance where he turns down John and Sammy and they don't clip him too. How could they not? They'd have to out of fear he'd run to Paul. And DeCicco would know this.
Maybe he was part of the fist out of circumstance not because he believed in 'the cause' or John.

Yea I’ve never been clear on what his or Sammy’s motivations really were for it. Gotti obviously had plenty of reasons lol

If you don't mind, can you be more explicit? I'm not following, like he was a p***y and cried and whined about doing time? Or something else?funkster wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 6:26 am Scars says he and Gotti were extremely close especially they didn’t their bid together.
Incidentally, scars told a story recently that Gotti once hinted to him that DeCicco didn’t do his time well. Sort of derisively insinuated that he was a little wobbly kneed being locked up.

I didn’t even see the interview and I can tell you he obviously didn’t cry and whine like a pussy. You think anyone would respect him after something like that? Wobbly kneed means he didn’t jail well…not everyone even amongst wiseguys is cut out to spent a bunch of time in a cage. Guys will be anxious paranoid maybe depressed and not their usual selves while for others it’s just another day in the life.

Re: The DeCicco truth
Sonny....they could've EASILY gave Gotti up to Paul. They did it because they were dissatisfied as well. And they had crews just as dangerous. They were in the drivers seat. Without a DeCicco, the hit is way harder to pull off. DeCicco was the one with the line to Gaspipe, and Sammy was DeCiccos guy first..... if im not mistaken? He got close to Gotti after they blew up Frank? Or no?SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 10:29 am I wonder if DeCicco went along out of fear of being clipped. It wasn't Sammy and Gotti together who brought in DeCicco. It was Gotti soliciting their support by sending Ruggerio to act as his emissary.
That's how Sammy had it in the book..

Agreed. In the MCC, it's a pissing match of who can present the toughest face. If anyone shows the slightest sign of discomfort or reservation, the gossip mills run wild because the natural thought process is that the person may be inclined to cooperate.johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 4:34 pmI didn’t even see the interview and I can tell you he obviously didn’t cry and whine like a pussy. Exactly this. I believe Gotti was referring to the time they did in Lewisberg.johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 4:34 pmI didn’t even see the interview and I can tell you he obviously didn’t cry and whine like a pussy. Re: The DeCicco truth
I thought I read it was Angelo Ruggerio who went to see the other families for permission. Or maybe he went to see the Colombo’s? I’m a Philly guy so I could definitely be wrong.
What evidence is there that DeCicco was an informant?
I’ve seen it suggested here.
What evidence is there that Frank might’ve been playing both sides of the Fence?

I can't find it but I myself posted this exact question and there was a few past threads that I was told about and were linked in said post

Re: What evidence is there that DeCicco was an informant?
Gus Sclafani accused him of being an informant. Sclafani through his mother in law had previously been on point with other accusations/court/case information.
There was an informant that gave up the 1984? Commission meeting in Staten Island. Apparently DeCicco was responsible for coordinating the security of the meeting. Never revealed who the informant was for that information.
