Serious question.
No Italians in the Bronx Queens Brooklyn Manhattan.

Where did they go? Jersey??
Some time ago I did an audit of 363 members and where their addresses were listed. 248 (about two-thirds) were in the 5 NYC boroughs while 115 (about one-third) were in Long Island, the north suburbs, or New Jersey. Staten Island was definitely the most densely populated but there are still plenty of members in the other boroughs. There's a lot more location markers in the zoomed in version of the photo below but it gives you an idea.

Genovese (blue) - Gambino (red) - Lucchese (yellow) - Colombo (black) - Bonanno (purple)

Late 2023/early 2024. I was primarily interested in getting an idea of membership in NYC proper relative to the outlying areas. To be more specific, about two-thirds of those I looked at were in the 5 boroughs, one-third elsewhere. And 85% of that one-third elsewhere were in Long Island, the north suburbs, and New Jersey. Obviously you have NY members living in Florida, etc.

Membership on Long Island was pretty even, with each family having about 20% of the members I looked at.

The North Suburbs was what you would expect, with the Genovese and Luccheses having 35% each, the Gambinos 20%, and the Bonannos and Colombos about 5% each.

Same for New Jersey where the Genovese had 35%, Lucchese 25%, Gambino 15%, Bonanno 15%, and Colombo 10%.

Breaking it down another way, the Genovese had the biggest percentage of members I looked at in these outlying areas, with 30% The Gambinos and Luccheses each 20%. And the Colombos and Bonannos each 15%.
All roads lead to New York.

Definitely still plenty of Italians in Bensonhurst, although most of the storefronts are now Asian or Middle Eastern owned.
Gohn. How many times you been to Brooklyn

I'll post some close up shots when I get a chance.

Great maps, very cool to see.

Johnny: who are the the guys living in Soundview as of 1983? That was already a very rough area by then.

Also, who were the Colombo guys living in Throggs Neck and Country Club? I’m unaware of any guys from that Family having lived in that part of the Bx.

Yes there is a name for every pin but I'd have to link you to my personal google maps account which I'm unwilling to do no offense but if you have any specific questions like Tony I'd be willing to answer them no problem.
