Blog - 'A Sicilan Message'

Post by nash143 »

As a few of the recent topics I have researched have organically grown into into article-length posts, I've decided to create a blog to publish them and future stories of people and events of interest.

To start with, I'm focusing mainly on the Pittston Family as they are one group that interest me hugely.
I have a list of future articles I wish to write, and will continue to add to the substack when I can.

Cheers,
Nash

Excellent. Total support.

Interesting Costanzo was a Philly-based Pittston member. Caramandi talked about another guy who was a Pittston associate who lived in Philly as well.

Good one. The "honorary" and "active" pallbearers speak volumes.

The Agrigento connections in Pittston are something I've only become aware of more recently. I knew of Zicari from Siculiana in Endicott but we learned a little while back Jimmy Longo of the Tampa Family was originally from Pittston with family from Alessandria della Rocca, his father being killed in Pittston.

The Auburn group is still pretty mysterious. Here Monachino is linked to Pittston guys but the Monachinos can also be connected to the Utica Falcones and the Calleas of Buffalo.

Did you find where these Falcones are from?

These Falcones were from Montedoro.

For anyone who may be interested, short articles have been posted on Salvatore Bufalino, Danny DiMinno and 1920 Pittston.

Thanks.

Wonderful. Can add DiMinno now to the list of music professionals who were LCN members: Chicago symphony member Giuseppe Priola, music teacher and high school band leader Russell Andaloro of the Bonanno Family, and possibly more. Giovanni Ruisi is a potential early Bonanno member who was a professional musician as well.

Also another fully NYC-based Pittston member. Amazing there were so many. It's not surprising John Cappello told Scafidi that Bufalino belonged to NYC considering how connected/present they were in NYC.

Not surprised Salvatore Bufalino headed the Montedoro paesani club. Harry Horrowitz recently found multiple Buffalo paesan societies too were dominated/led by LCN members and their relatives. It's a "trend" we see around the entire country in virtually every city with a mafia branch.

I added a link to your page on my "resources" list, meant to do that a while back.

Would like to read about Polizzis (Angelo (Michelangelo) and his son Michael of Detroit).
