So by Pogo's logic nobody can be promoted after being demoted.

Or maybe fresh street talk on the forums is wrong again like it always is.

With all due respect to Pogo, with whom I have never had an argument in 10 years. I have never claimed to be in the know, or whatever is it you call fresh street talk...Sometimes I might hear things which I post in here saying "I think", I have been wrong in the past, and will most certainly will be in the future.
Now if you ask me about Joe D jr, I stick with what I said. He used to be capo on arthur Ave, now he is not.

Charlie has been spot on over the years, so I take him at his word, and there have been others as well who hear things. Now, are there a bunch of assholes who constantly pull things out of their ass? Absolutely, and I won't bother naming names because I'm sure you know who I'm referring to, but there have been exceptions.

The Sassano/Trucchio thing, for example, was mentioned by EB months before Capeci wrote about it.

You're just lying now, several times the 'street talk' has proved to be spot on. The pretenders outweigh the 'In the know' people a million to one but a few people genuinely know a few things.

What about the Bonanno leadership, he was right about that too.

Alright if it makes you feel better it is wrong 99% of the time. And that 1% when it does gets something right it is more often than not based on deductive reasoning and luck than on any actual inside knowledge. But people cling to that 1% like it is the holy grail. Really it is no different than fortunte telling and palm reading. Then again there are people who believe that as well and spend thousands of dollars on it so it is no surprise that there are still people on the forums who believe it no matter how many times it has been exposed and shown to be wrong year after year.

Lets just leave this debate.

There are your Pogo's and Ivy's who will never EVER believe anything other than the official line.
And there are the Tommy's and yourself who are open to speculation from other sources.

Live n let live gentlemen, youre only banging your respecive heads against the wall trying to win an unwinnable argument in perspective.

Or maybe some of us are just not as gullible as some. ;) I mean christ does anyone really believe that anyone who has inside knowledge about a high level Genovese family sit down is signing up to the retard forum to tell you all about it? I guess that is a rhetorical question since I know there are people on the forums who believe it.

People do talk Pogo.

I mean you have 250 odd guys who would be privy to hearing about the result of a sitdown. A power shift in the family. A knockdown. Is it that unreasonable that one might talk out of school or word might get around about someone losing the power?

It may have happened. It may not. People may know. They may not.
But to say definitively not I think is unreasonable.

Im just saying maybe.

Original September bust

Press Release earlier this month
http://www.nj.gov/oag/newsreleases16/pr20160316a.html

As for Denti, while the NJ press release doesn't mention mob rank, it seems Capeci is referring to him be a captain in the present tense. No offense but why would we give Internet sources the benefit of the doubt over Capeci?

So Chucky, Bronx, PB,Charlie, Bruno et al. are bullshitting. That's what you are saying. So just say it.

If you can't figure out the bullshitters from the people that are genuinely trying to tell you something they believe to be true than so be it. I don't care one way or the other but the way you two dismiss it is off putting and condescending.

For the record, I don't consider any of those posters to be bullshitters. I'm just continually surprised (though I shouldn't be at this point) that people on these forums will give them the benefit of the doubt over Capeci. I'm often willing to take what these guys day at face value, which is a compliment considering how wary I am of the phonies that have always plagued these forums, but that doesn't mean I'm going to give them more weight than Capeci, much less the government. I don't know if anyone can locate the actual indictment but it would be interesting to see if Denti is identified as a captain in it. If so, case closed. Discussion over.
