If you go to the community section of Pennisi's channel he posted that when Eugene Castelle and Scott Gervasi were away Castelle spread a rumour that he was no good. Upon release Gervasi requested permission to kill Castelle but was turned down.

In the comments someone said they heard Gervasi recently passed away and asked if Pennisi had heard the same which he replied he had.

I think he's just assuming. In previous videos Pennisi mentioned Donnadio and has only said he is probably a member now since DiMaria was looking to propose him.

Definitely some strange stuff. Really enjoy his content as he’s covered a ton of subjects and has the most up to date knowledge out there. But he does not change a thing to please his viewers or acclimatize to the YouTube world lol. He is very much himself whether that is seen as a good or bad thing..
