Because in Italy there is the ergastolo ostativo (whole life sentence) so the organized crime bosses can't go out after 30 years like the other lifers plus he was on 41 bis and is 70 years old and maybe he aren't so tought to die in prison.Anyway all depends on what he will say and if would be enought to regole the 41 bis and maybe but him in the witness protection.
