Bro I was just about email you about this! Was going to ask if you ever heard of them because they aren't mentioned on your site. Thanks for chiming in. If you can tell us more and feel comfortable doing so, go for it.

Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
Yeah if my (admittedly somewhat wild) speculation above about the LoBues is accurate, no one's gonna tell the "you are trunk music, my friend" guy that soldiers direct with him can't operate in their "territory."PolackTony wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 12:08 pm As one last note. Say for the sake of argument that there are guys who are soldiers direct with the admin (which we know Chicago has always had). Even if there were still some strong territorial claims by crew, guys like this might not be bound by it. We can think of guys in the past like Alderisio and Caifano, who for a period were soldiers direct with Giancana. By dint of this arrangement, they could operate basically anywhere as their “territory” was the boss’s territory. With any Family, it’s a big deal to be a soldier direct with the boss.

Good to have you pop in scott, when you gonna do a podcast with a local guy about current outfit happenings like you've been doing with Philly, Buffalo, etc? Not sure who that local writer would be these days though...

Scott,
Can you give some information on Mitria. I have heard nothing about him since he was busted in the early 2000s. Only a couple of guys I know have heard of him. Thanks

Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
It was posted on one of the facebook outfit pages that Roland Ignoffo was involved in the Campisi and Gattuso murders. If he was involved in those two murders and also the Nick Dejohn Jr murder, you would think he would have been made or have some type of stature in the Outfit. Does anyone have any current info on him?
Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
He was also suspected to have been in the Len Yaras hit. I haven't heard much about him in recent years. Who posted that he was involved in the Campise hit?Patrickgold wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 4:56 pm It was posted on one of the facebook outfit pages that Roland Ignoffo was involved in the Campisi and Gattuso murders. Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
Good question. The Feds in the 80s described Ronnie Ignoffo as a “suspected ‘hit man’” for Joey DiVarco, so they may have had info that he was involved in more than one murder, even if they weren’t able to ever bring charges. His mother was also the sister of Romie Nappi, so he had the familial connections. One would think he’d have been fast tracked for membership, but who knows. Maybe there was some mark against him that we don’t know about, maybe he turned it down. He got sent away for ten years in 1985, so maybe with the new admin when he got out, and Solano no longer around, he missed his shot.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 4:56 pm It was posted on one of the facebook outfit pages that Roland Ignoffo was involved in the Campisi and Gattuso murders. He’s still alive and living in Lake Villa. Nothing about him has surfaced since the 80s that I’ve seen, apart from him being listed on that LIUNA Chicago chart (which has “Roland” Ignoffo, leading to the confusion around his name, which is Ronald. Could be that they meant Ronald’s father, Roland “Goldie” Ignoffo, who died in 2006, but I’ve never seen the dad mentioned anywhere else in connection to the outfit, apart from who his in-laws were).

Mike Byrne posted it on The Chicago Underworld page. I didn’t realize he was suspected in so many hits. It’s weird how so many of these guys dropped off the map after the 80s.Snakes wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 5:26 pmHe was also suspected to have been in the Len Yaras hit. Once Auippa went away, they didn't have a huge need for hitmen.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 9:37 pmMike Byrne posted it on The Chicago Underworld page. I like to picture Aiuppa spastically ordering hits over nothing in a cartoon Italian accent but he was American, sadly.Cosmik_Debris wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 8:26 am Once Auippa went away, they didn't have a huge need for hitmen.
Best Aiuppa moment in Casino is when "Remo" (Aiuppa/Balistrieri composite character) is depicting ordering Dorfman's murder. The "why take a chance?" line I thought nicely captured Auippa's uh thoroughness when it came to this sort of thing.
