Not much so much OC related, but just looking at what happened to G. Morellos real estate business. There are a few names that might be worth looking into further.

Awesome work.
These cooperative businesses between high-level mafiosi are always interesting, Empire Yeast being another that overlaps with this one.

Re: The Ignatz Florio Co-Operative
Thanks! What’s the story behind Empire Yeast?
Re: The Ignatz Florio Co-Operative
It was originally run by Antonino Cecala and included Giuseppe Morello and Tom Gagliano as partners. After Cecala was killed it was taken over by Giuseppe Traina and included members Antonio Paterno, John Cappello, and the DioGuardis as partners or employees, with a Philadelphia branch run by members the Scafidis and Antonino Calio. A Pittsburgh branch was operated by boss Giuseppe Siragusa.
I'm sure it was connected to bootlegging but the NYC and Philly branches continued for decades as legitimate businesses operated by members.

Great research, Jon. You should also advertise this in Mafia groups in Facebook.
