Re: Complete transcript of Dutch Schultz last words
I was always interested in the last words of Dutch Schultz. Having never seen them before, I wondered what they were, and what they may have revealed.
Now that I have seen them, I wonder no more.
They are clearly just the mad ravings of a dying man.

I know an old lady, who is pushing 100 now, who grew up in East Harlem and had a couple of older brothers who worked with Dutch Schultz. She was a small child but recalls him visiting their apartment a number of times, though all that she remembers of him was that he was very well-dressed.

Most of the things in them are probably disjointed references to real people and events in his life but they aren't instructions for finding buried treasure or whatever the fuck people say.
Haven't taken the time to confirm if this guy was legit but you might find this interesting.PolackTony wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 3:05 pm I know an old lady, who is pushing 100 now, who grew up in East Harlem and had a couple of older brothers who worked with Dutch Schultz. Cheap, ugly and nasty but what a character. No fucks ever given. And no back steps taken, regardless of opponent.

The Mob Museum interviewed Stanley Grauso around his 103rd birthday. He also wrote a book called "On the Lam," but I'm skeptical about his story.Ivan wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 5:08 pmYeah they don't mean anything.Boatdrinks wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 1:06 pm I was always interested in the last words of Dutch Schultz. Yeah I've never seen his stuff corroborated by anything substantial.
We're running out people with memories of the Prohibition era. Even people who were little kids toward the end are all 95+. (I'm thinking of people who were at least 4 or 5 in the early 30s and can vaguely remember things from before Repeal.) And there's only a few people in the world still alive who were older teens and young adults before Repeal and could have really looked at things from a mature perspective at the time.

When I visited NYC in 2002 I met an old Jewish man who claimed he was involved with Murder Incorporated back in the day. I visited some antique store or bookstore and got into a conversation with the owner. That's when the elderly man came in. He introduced me to him. Unfortunately I had limited time and he only gave his first name. Now pretty much everyone like that is gone, especially for random encounters like that one.
