Yeah, that has to be him. Thanks hon´. I have in my files that Salvatore was killed in 1965 and that triggered the Campisis to revolt against the Mafia. I could be wrong.
There you have it, never printed before.

Usually, when captains go down there, they designate an acting captain to oversee the crew in NY. That was the case with Mike Coppola (who used Philip Lombardo and others in this capacity) and Tommy Greco (Joe Loiacono and Joe Lapadura) for example. In Alo´s case, Jerry Laietta, Nick Rattenni and possibly later Centore may have been three individuals who acted in his stead.

Wow very interesting. Weren't Rattenni and Centore leading Bronx crews eventually? Or even further up to Westchester?
Depends on who you ask. East Bronx would say definitely they were both official captains later on. Centore is listed as such on a LE chart (NYPD if memory serves) dated in 1983. But those charts made by the NYPD have serious flaws. Rattenni was never listed as an official captain by any law enforcement agency. Not saying he never was a skipper, just saying I haven´t seen anything confirming this. If JD sees this thread, he may be able to help out. Both were originally Bronx based. Rattenni moved his operations to Yonkers early on and Centore moved his headquarters to Yonkers in the early 1980s.
Wait I remember PB mentioning Centore was capo up in the Bronx way before the 80s??

My bad I misread when I posted my last post ^

But anyhow, we don't know much at all about Laietta, Buonorado, Martino or Spinelli eh? And certainly not what became of this crew either huh?

So in T.J. English's book on Havana he stats Alo represented Chicago's interest in Cuba. Anyone have any idea on the basis for this? I know he's close to Lansky but anyone in Chicago?
