Chicago hold over LV was so strong they even had the lake pulling hits for them.

Re: One Body Identified From Lake Mead
A guy on a non-mob board I read made a living betting sports in Las Vegas decades ago and he's convinced a lot of these Lake Mead bodies are suicides as he knew a lot of gamblers who made it known they were killing themselves only to disappear. I guess Mead was an obvious place to do it. Just his anecdotal belief.
Re: One Body Identified From Lake Mead
The only one I'm fairly certain was a mob hit is the man in a barrel. Most (or all) of the others were probably drownings.
Re: One Body Identified From Lake Mead
Any list of missing people to narrow down who that person in a barrel is?

I've seen a list of around five people who went missing during the heyday of mob power in Vegas. Scott Burnstein might have a Gangsterreport article on it with names of potential victims.

They didn't pay their shylocks. That's why they disappeared.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.
