"A handful of Colombo leaders splitting a 120k a year kickback scheme? I guess that's the last racket they have left and they're fighting for chump change while Barney laughs."

Wonder if this was from Ferrara. Seriously concerning if not. This SHOULDVE been a good move, and yet its barely a couple of months and the Feds know the new acting, a relative unknown.

Westside shaking their heads.

Thanks for posting
I bet the Westside were shaking their heads when that weirdo Ed Scarpo reported Michael Ragusa was the street boss 😉

Good argument bud. You got me.
No real argument to be had, sounds like a hands on administration discussing who will oversee a racket, 2,3 grand a month each or whatever it is isn’t really an issue for me. You’ve took a massive leap and claimed the administration is broke and desperate because they are meeting about this one particular racket

I want to debate that point. How is it not, in your reasoned opinion?
There was only one meeting which they all attended and at that meeting they agreed to keep Russo on as boss until Teddy got out and he would assume the position. This is the real point of the meeting the actual reason they all gathered, at some point during the meeting Ferrara is given responsibility of pilfering at least 10k a month from the benefits fund and kicking it to the administration. I just don’t see where that involves 30-40% of their captains or how it’s a sign of financial distress.

It’s a meeting to decide on bigger issues and one captain was told ‘hey steal this money every month and send it up the ladder’

You’re trying to paint a picture of the entire admin and half their captains meeting for the sole purpose of squabbling over chump change and from available evidence that’s just not what happened. Don’t take it personally all I’m saying is you’ve misread the tea leaves.

There are obvious signs of the mob decline, but there's a tendency to twist everything into that narrative.

"Made guy going to work every day? Unheard of! It's over." (or alternately if it's the Genovese Family they're geniuses)

"Admin members splitting a 10k/month kickback? Pathetic brokesters fighting for pennies. It's over."

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I've noticed this one

Guys get busted for street level shit
"Shows you how far that family or LCN in general has fallen when they have to resort to this kind of racket."

Guys get busted for some kind of fraud/white collar crime
"That family is mostly legit nowadays they're not involved in the street anymore ."

My paint brush or yours: Mush, Castellazo, Dematteo, Ferrara, Unions, teddy and Uvino all charged and plead (Mush not, clearly). For a 10k racket.
Either its damn unlucky (30% Capos, 3 were charged, how many do they have..) or don't believe in coincidence.

Its amazing these things happen constantly to the C's. Vs both the G's. That's all I'm saying.

As I've said ad nauseum, you have to look at general trends, over the long term.
