Hootie Russo said that Al and Ace Aiello were tight and went to high school together...first time I've ever heard this
Doubt.
Why separate families if same circles, tight?
FYI Hootie tries to pawn his used shoes on his vids. Soooo...

Whose crew did Ronnie One Arm come up under? JoJo or Skinny Dom?
Dom I think but I don't know the crew succession and whether or not those were different crews at one point. I always thought it was all the Fatico/Gotti crew at the end of the day. I gotta dig up the succession thread those were great

I did too but I read where Ronnie wasnt really a Bergin guy and more aligned with the Corozzo faction...

Hootie has said a bunch of outlandish hard to believe things but this is one I can definitely believe and would be weird to make up. They're both 46 and from Queens. Could've definitely gone to a Catholic high school together.

If Al and Ace went to the same school and were tight, why the different families?
I'm not saying it isn't so, but the onus is to prove rather than disprove.
It's an unusual circumstance, so it requires substantiation vs taken at face value.

Trucchio and the Corozzo’s were in the Bergin Crew under Peter Gotti in the 1980s and into rhe 1990s. Nick Corozzo was promoted to Capo in 1992. In 1999 Sal Scala and Dom Pizzonia (other members of the Bergin crew) were promoted to Capo with Pizzonia getting most of it. By the early 2000s Trucchio and Richard Gotti were also Captains. So the old Bergin Crew was split up multiple ways. Trucchio possibly took over for the Scala Crew (or a part of it) after Scala was indicted in 2001.

Not really unusual. Friends and even relatives often wind up being made into different families.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Thank you Pogo...I'd forgotten all about Sal Scala coming up through that crew and making captain...

You know well enough to know that high school friends don't have to join the same crime family. All these guys in these neighborhoods/boroughs know each other. Aiello's dad was a Bonanno associate and he grew up around the Gianinni kids in Middle Village. Trucchio's dad was obviously a captain in the Gambino family. It's pretty easy to see how they ended up in their respective families.
I remember one time Hootie saying Al went to Adams, and there's no fucking way that Ace Aiello was going to Adams living in Middle Village or Ridgewood. If they were classmates, they must have went to a Catholic school together. Maybe Malloy or Christ or something like that . If either of them graduated we could probably find out where they went. I'm guessing Al graduated between 95-99, not sure of his exact age.

If they did go to same high school, probably would be Christ of King

I dont see the correlation between friends and HS and being in the same family. Apples and bowling balls
