He may be interesting to do further research on because it appears he was one of the Mafia members (made in the 1950s) who wasn´t fully Italian. Mother´s name was Emily.

He had a bunch of skippers throughout his Mafia career. Arthur Leo is the earliest skipper I can trace him being with, then he was under Napolitano. At some point in the mid 1960s, Iacovetti was directly assaigned to Joe Biondo. When Biondo was demoted, he was put with Eppolito, then Patti, Piccolo, Zappi, Richichi, Joe Paterno, Eddie Lino. His last skipper may have been Peter Gotti, but I´m not sure. For a short time, Iacovetti was acting skipper for Patti.

If you guys are interested, you can watch his son talking about his father on this podcast. I haven´t watched it myself, but seems to be same old bull shit history repeated (Anastasia boss of Murder Inc, Carlo Gambino killed Anastasia etc, etc.)

Edit - No, Iacovetti was fully Italian.
He was this globetrotter reporting to eddie lino?
paterno had some crew, huh?

I know Sal Polisi isn't the most reliable source, but he mentions meeting Iacovetti in his book.

-In February 1975 a bunch of guys from prison in Atlanta were transferred to Lewisburg where Polisi was at the time. Iacovetti was one of the prisoners.
-Apparently he was "very high up in the Gambino hierarchy" and ran the family business in Miami.
-He was professional looking, very smart and everyone treated him with respect.
-Later on Iacovetti and Polisi both ended up in West Street Detention Center, then MCC and got to know each other.
-Iacaovetti was in for stock fraud.
-He was cultured and sophisticated for a mob guy, read anything he could get his hands on, loved fine art, music and wine.
-He had homes in Miami Beach and Trumbull in Connecticut. His wife, Nan, owned a restaurant in Trumbull and his daughter married a state trooper.
-He basically told Polisi to get out of the mob life and go legit.
