Any chance it could’ve been Nick Stefanelli? He was at the Gambino/Philly meeting with John Gambino and Al Trucchio, so somewhat similar circles to the guys above.

I don't think so - I think the CW mentioned is Joseph Vollaro from Staten Island. Combo of the date + being with Corozzo makes me think it's VollaroSouthshore88 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 7:16 pmAny chance it could’ve been Nick Stefanelli? I think newera is right, it was most likely Vollaro.Southshore88 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 7:16 pmAny chance it could’ve been Nick Stefanelli? He was at the Gambino/Philly meeting with John Gambino and Al Trucchio, so somewhat similar circles to the guys above.
To give more background on that event, it's not specified here but I have info from elsewhere that it was probably a Christmas party thrown by Al Trucchio in Queens on December 19 2007. It was only open to Gambino members and associates. D'Amico, Cefalu, Nicholas Corozzo, Frank Cali and Joseph Corozzo Jr attended it along with two other defendants from the 2008 indictment one of them I'm sure was Lenny DiMaria.

Great info, Johnny.
Fiordilino was friendly with Vernace and said he was the nicest guy in the life. Not much is out there about him beyond his rise in the 2000s.

Makes sense that Frank knew him, given that Vernace was based in Glendale.
He was born 1949 in Camporeale. right? Looks like he arrived in the US in the 50s as a kid. Interesting that there was a Bartolomeo Vernace born in Camporeale in the 1880s who had settled in BK decades earlier, looks like at least by the 40s those Vernaces lived by Linden and Wilson in Bushwick. Presumably a cousin. Wonder if Bobby Glasses’s relatives had previously been connected to the Bonnanos, given origin and settlement networks?

Came up under JoJo according to Kenji.
During the 1980s and 1990s JoJo built up a power base and brought in a number of young up-and-comers including Ronald Trucchio, Alphonse Trucchio and Louis Mastrangelo who all later became Capos in the family, and Bartolomeo Vernace who became a Capo and also served on the panel and many others that are soldiers or associates in the family.

Interesting guy because he was close to both the Corozzo and Sicilian factions who began taking power in the late 2000s.
