Nice podcast! Very interesting crime Family to discuss and go into detail with. Some stuff discussed I disagree with, but as a whole very interesting discussion. And it´s nice to see a face on poster Kidyouknow, a fine young man. The future of researching looks bright! Thanks to Frank Fiordolino for participating. He seems to be one of the most humble former Mafia members around doing the whole Mafia podcast thing. And Rick, don´t forget to move lol.

Since Mafia movies were discussed, I have to recommend "The Funeral", a 1996 movie starring Christopher Walken.

Wow. I didn't know anyone liked that movie besides me. It's I believe, one of the darkest movies I've ever seen in my life. It put me in the weirdest mood.

It also confirmed my suspicions that, with all due respect to the man, ( Rip to one of my favorite actors) Chis Penn must have been nuts in real life....

He played that level of crazy a little too authentic for me...lol

Great interview guys. Very insightful. The names that were brought up added some context to the general Bonanno conversation. Alot of " sleeper" info here.

One question I wish you asked is " Did Frank every hear anything good about Joe Bonanno? (Maybe some off the record talk about him personally from an old timer that wasn't bad).

Its just a theory but I think Joe's ultimate plan was to have Carmine Galante run the NY Bonannos and too take over California and install Bill as Boss, while he'd be "retired" in Arizona. Bill wouldn't have been a factor if Galante was on the street in my opinion.

We're going to get Frank and James Buccellato on for an episode to discuss Castellammare and hopefully more to discuss the early Bonannos. This is way before Frank's time but he knows the families. And getting two Castellammaresi (three if you count me but I don't have mafia bloodlines) to discuss this stuff was be interesting.

As for Griffin, he needs to write his own 64 Bonanno war book, show some support to inspire him to do so. He's an amazing researcher. I don't like to hear myself talk so I speak only when necessary on the podcast, but for me, getting a former affiliate and a researcher to compare notes and swap info is what makes it all worth it to me. We're putting history in its place.

Coll stuff, gentlemen. Did I hear correctly that Galante came from Evola's crew and became a captain this crew?
