Rizzuto-Bonanno Membership
Doing reading into early Rizzuto,, notice there were many Bonanno made guys who are accounted as Bonanno members on certain charts, and as Rizzuto/Montreal family on other charts.
Example: Giuseppe (Joseph) LoPresti
Anyone know if these were transferred members,, or maybe members in both.. Any info helps,.

There is several other threads talking about this, but I made this one some time ago. It's probably not perfect, but you have the big picture http://theblackhand.club/forum/viewtopi ... =29&t=7769

Any charts showing the "Rizzuto/Montreal family" would be essentially complete fabrication, especially if it showed Giuseppe LoPresti on it. All we've ever known the usually names (Rizzuto, Renda, Di Maulo, etc) on these chart/lists as are Bonanno members. Them becoming their own independent family has never really been confirmed
And Motorfab post he shared is probably the best one for identifying the members of the crew.

Thanks, , One specific chart I can recall is a 1993 "relations" chart from a news article of some sort - obviously not the most reliable But had me curious.OcSleeper wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 1:47 pm Any charts showing the "Rizzuto/Montreal family" would be essentially complete fabrication, especially if it showed Giuseppe LoPresti on it. Re: Rizzuto-Bonanno Membership
I'm not sure why you are laughing, the chart is quite close to what the hiearchy looked like in 1993 IMO. Except Desjardins was obviously not made but well connected, and Albanese probably wasn't made neither
What exactly do you reproach to this chart? If it's for the Gambino Crime Family mention, it's likely because Sciascia was connected to the Bergen Crew and the Zips in that Family.

Re: Rizzuto-Bonanno Membership
Sciascia was no doubt connected to the Caruana-Cuntreras as well.
We discuss the Bonanno membership in Montreal on this board a lot but there hasn't been as much discussion of confirmed Sicilian mafia members who lived in Montreal and what their affiliation is/was.
With the Caruana-Cuntreras and Siculiana natives their affiliation was split between Siculiana, Venezuela, and the Bonannos. Cattolica Eraclea from what we know was mainly Bonanno members but some may have been made there. The recent info about the Ribera Family partnering with the Cattolicensi in Canada would suggest some Ribera members have lived/stayed in Montreal and I posted a lot about the Guarraggis' presence in Canada which could also suggest something.
Then you have Antonino Montagna who was apparently made in Castellammare but it's not clear if he was a member already when he lived in Montreal.
Maybe someone could make a list of confirmed Sicilian mafia members who lived there. Strong suspected members could be included too but should be said whether it's confirmed.

I would love to hear what you have regarding Venezuela.. I know Nick Rizzuto Sr made connections there and talked with some Calabrians/Sicilians while in Venezuela but havent come across any specific names.B. wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 1:58 am Sciascia was no doubt connected to the Caruana-Cuntreras as well.

On the other topic, I believe many of the Sicilians were more temporary in montreal. They most likely came and went depending on business from what I've read. These charts may have been posted before but i Don't believe Ive seen them on this board, and I believe they're a good starting point, even though they just Show relationship ties and family status etc..
