Cicale's new video about Hippy Zanfardino is pretty good but I've never heard of a "Lucchese captain Anthony TV"...I think he's meaning Vinny TV but he's a Bonanno...strange he'd make that mistake when he was a Bonanno himself...
Re: Where In The World Is Onetime Bonanno Capo Dom Cicale These Days?
In Pogo's list he has a Anthony TV as a possible member and it could be Anthony Villani.
Re: Where In The World Is Onetime Bonanno Capo Dom Cicale These Days?
Looking at the mugshot that was shared in one of the GLs Villani looked like a heavier guy whenever that was taken. But I don't know, just pointing out Villani is possibly the Anthony TV.
Re: Where In The World Is Onetime Bonanno Capo Dom Cicale These Days?
I find him believable . It's just he wasn't that important in the bonanno family as he thinks he was. They had guys who had real rackets for decades he was a goon and drug dealer. If he never hooked up with Vinny b and got into to all those murders he probably still be around today

The FBI, im sure, sometimes deliberately puts out misinformation to throw the bad guys off, lies by omission or is sometimes wrong.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 11:05 am I don't have a problem with Cicale otherwise. Like Pennisi, he'll have insight into things within his orbit while on the street. But nobody should be entertaining he has some knowledge about who the "real Genovese boss" was, unbeknownst to anyone else including the FBI.
MAybe there are some real secrets that NOBODY aside from 10 West Side guys know.
but chances are that you're right

I think it's certainly possible that perhaps there's another official Genovese family boss around the mid-2000s (perhaps if Gigante stepped down). Not sure how Cicale would know for sure that that person is still the boss. Curious to hear more about it but doubtful about him having concrete info on who the current official boss is

re: whoever Anthony TV is. Cicale said the guy ran a sportsbook that Basciano bet through. He was also betting through it as far back as his Blue Thunder trial (and apparently still paying off debts to the book years later when Cicale hooked up with him lol). Badalamenti seems like he could be ruled out, most likely, just based off location alone.
Wasn't Anthony Villani busted recently for running a sportsbook? Was there a father and son both with the same name? The Anthony Villani guy who surfaced in that semi-recent surveillance pic with DeSantis, Zappola, etc. at Jefferson Park - that guy seems like he might be too young to be the guy that Cicale was talking about. The guy in the story was a Captain at least 20 years ago

From what I've seen, the evidence shows Gigante remained boss until his death. Furthermore, the Genovese hardly seem the type to be in a rush to install a new boss, particularly if Bellomo was seen as the guy to eventually take over. But rather do what they had long been doing, i.e. use acting bosses and rotating panels.chin_gigante wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 8:13 am I think it's certainly possible that perhaps there's another official Genovese family boss around the mid-2000s (perhaps if Gigante stepped down). Yeah, the Anthony Villani who was busted in 2022 for running a sports book is Villani Jr. He was reported at the time time to be a 57-year-old Lucchese soldier (living up in Elmsford). His dad Anthony Villani Sr died in 2013 and was in his ‘80s. It was reported at that time that his funeral was attended by a bunch of Lucchese and Genovese members, including Crea, but I don’t know if he was ever identified publicly as a member himself?newera_212 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 8:16 am re: whoever Anthony TV is. nice, thank you - that's what I thought I remembered from the Villani Jr. case, but I didn't read too much about it . That was the first time I remember ever seeing their names, personally.PolackTony wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 10:41 amYeah, the Anthony Villani who was busted in 2022 for running a sports book is Villani Jr. He was reported at the time time to be a 57-year-old Lucchese soldier (living up in Elmsford). Villani Sr. would have been in his late 50s , early 60s in the 1990s. I'm not sure if the Luccheses have ever had a member flip from the Bronx before, but with Casso + 2 acting bosses + other members flipping, it would be surprising (but not impossible) there was a made guy or potential captain during that era who was never identified or confirmed to be a member. 3 people who helped conduct different ceremonies over a pretty substantial period of time flipped. if Villani Sr. was really made, someone had to have done it. I wonder who. Maybe there were ceremonies conducted by Daidone or even Crea during his first administration run that I just don't remember reading about. Not sure on the timelines for Daidone as acting boss versus when Dom's story took place too.
Any speculation on who this Anthony TV is, is predicated on taking Dom's word 100%. I'm not saying he's a BS artist or making anything up, but just like anyone else he could have his wires crossed and mistaken his nickname or rank/family or something. He wasn't introduced to him as a made guy, he was young, etc. That's a possibility - doesn't really seem like a probability though

Hey I don't blame him for being into latinas - sounds like he caught a taste back in the day. Once you've had that, especially if you've lived with or been married to one, it's near impossible to come back. Not a lot will compare. Dom was probably trying to either make a joke that just didn't land, or is out there casting a net for another girl . I doubt too many younger good looking latina girls are watching his videos, but why not take a shot? lolBrowniety86 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 12:25 pm

Based on her name, his wife that he married in FL was PR. She was also a CO during the time that he was in the can there (lol) IIRC. Plus, he's from the Bx. Plenty of "Spanish"/Italian intermarriages here, of course. His comment about being "the voice" seems to me to have been more than a joke, as he alluded to some scandal involving a strip club where he presumably felt that women were being taken advantage of, or something (I don't think I'm familiar with the particulars).newera_212 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 12:32 pmHey I don't blame him for being into latinas - sounds like he caught a taste back in the day. I can personally confirm that I know some PR women who have watched his videos. They were NOT impressed with his rapping, however, lol.

Would also be interesting to see even just who he saw as operationally (skirting controversy) the head of the Genovese family at the time
