I was curious if there’s a break down of the info he gave?
Also, how long was he an informer before he got killed? And how was he found out?

What's interesting about his murder is Paul Castellano played a direct part in the conspiracy, with Petey Ferrara supervising it and answering to Castellano during the process. The killers were Trenton- and Brooklyn-based members/associates of Ferrara's decina.

Re: Freddy Santantonio
What interests me is that Angelo Meli was a part of the hit squad. His father Giosue was under Lilo Garofalo, brother Philip was too (possibly). Another FBI CI advised that Angelo Meli was a soldier under Paul Castellano, was he under Ferrara?
Re: Freddy Santantonio
Here are crew size estimates Santantonio furnished on January 7, 1963:
Peter ‘Petey Pumps’ Ferrara (40 soldiers)
Joseph ‘Gus’ Colozzo (30 - 35 soldiers)
Arthur Leo (30 soldiers)
Ettore ‘Terry’ Zappi (25 soldiers)
Olympio ‘Lilo’ Garofalo (10 soldiers)
Carmine Lombardozzi (40 soldiers)
Giuseppe Traina (40 soldiers)
Alfred ‘Freddy’ Eppolito (30 soldiers)
Charles Dongarra (35 soldiers)
Domenico Arcuri (20 soldiers)
Aniello Dellacroce (18 soldiers)
Joseph Paterno (35 soldiers)
David ‘Papa Dave’ Amodeo (15 - 20 soldiers)
Angelo ‘Cockeyed Angie’ Mascia (20 soldiers)
Pietro Stincone (10 soldiers)
Paul Castellano (30 - 35 soldiers)
Rocco ‘Rogie’ Mazzie (30 soldiers)
If the sizes are accurate, then that's about ~470 guys for those captains.
Paterno and Zappi's numbers seem close to impossible.
Colozzo and Ferrara unlikely
Garofalo, Dellacroce, Amodeo, Lombardozzi, correct.
Mascia, Castellano, Arcuri, Dongarra, Stincone, Mazzie, Traina, Eppolito, Leo are all possible.
Remaining Captains:
Frank Perrone (Probably No More than 10 guys)
Joseph 'Joe Rivers' Silesi (Santantonio said all permanent residents of Miami, FL reported to Silesi)
Anthony 'Little Tony' Scotto (Probably No More than 10 guys)
Frank Corbi (About a dozen guys)
Joseph Gambino (Probably not a lot of guys)
Gaetano 'Tommy' Russo (Probably No More than 10 guys) (I'm waiting for his file to come back)
Pasquale 'Patsy' Conte (Probably No More than 10 guys)
Joseph 'Joe Z.' Zingaro

Re: Freddy Santantonio
this valin guy is something else. great info. seems like Zappi was at 132 EAST 78th street. in the doc I saw it didn't say EAST specifically but it fits and makes sense given the fact that the prevailing wisdom was around 2 ave and 75/6th. I used to live a few blocks west of there and couple blocks north. I wonder what storefront that was????
Q: What doesn't work when it's fixed?

Re: Freddy Santantonio
Was it ever mentioned that Peter “Petey Pumps” Ferrara used Frank Decicco’s identity at the time of his arrest for the murder of Santantonio?

Interesting. Frank's father was a soldier in Ferrara's decina so there's something to it.JoelTurner wrote: ↑Sun Mar 05, 2023 7:44 pm Was it ever mentioned that Peter “Petey Pumps” Ferrara used Frank Decicco’s identity at the time of his arrest for the murder of Santantonio?
