Thanks again for the heads up, TSNYC.
Re: Upcoming indictment against the current Lucchese Family Acting Boss
Mannino was being tied to the Michael Michael and Louis Filipelli case. Separate investigation from this

It will be interesting to see who the made guys are. Pretty sure Louis Petrocelli is made. Capeci described him as a wiseguy in a 2020 GL article. Astuto was identified as a 'Camuso crew member' so he could be made too. Noto is an associate.

Edit:
Never mind went back and read the GL. Looks like a few names mentioned in GL weren't indicted today.

Is Mario Garafola made?
Him and his wife were charged. Assuming it’s the same Mario whose the son of Eddie Garafola (from this old case: https://nypost.com/2004/09/16/mob-mta-s ... -job-feds/ )

All roads lead to New York.
Re: Upcoming indictment against the current Lucchese Family Acting Boss
They should get off easy like everyone in NY does these days

Completely agree on the cartels, whether designated terrorists or just foreign invaders. Yes you could greatly suppress the drug trade with tactics totally unlike what was done with booze, just like you could bring crime in Chicago to a minimum with brutal methods, but Americans don't have the stomach for it.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 9:23 pmAlcohol and tobacco do more damage to society, in all its forms, than all the illegal drugs combined precisely because they're legal. But yeah, let's legalize heroin, cocaine, meth, fentanyl, etc
It's bad enough marijuana is being legalized. Because that's really what society needs, more potheads walking around.
Designate the Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations and use the US military to wipe them out. Would be money much better spent than unchecked billions going to Ukraine.
Domestically, while I'd be fine executing drug traffickers, putting them away for 50 years on their first offense would be good enough. Violent or not is irrelevant. They're all purveyors of poison.

Hard to see jail for non violent corporate honest service charges, not with today’s jury lol
best time to be a wise guy , they lost their power but are still making big $ with almost no threat of jail time or getting hit. With gambling n weed you can carry your biz out in the open with no worries (in NJ at least)
LE is goin after their successful businesses as that’s about the best they can do today , bust em out.
They have a hard on for CC of westside. I wonder how Sal Demeos $1M+ Investment in RCI plumbing is going as I think they are closed, ouch

In terms of the health cost discussion, to compare the Scandinavian countries to the U.S. in anything is absurd. Give me 350,000,000 health conscious highly educated highly exercised Norwegians with a Germanic work ethic and homogeneous cultural values and I'll show you what can happen here. Comparing such a group in a country smaller than Rhode Island is ridiculous.
Re: Upcoming indictment against the current Lucchese Family Acting Boss
utc, agreed on that last point
Germans are great to work with- i was just in Zurich where there are tons of Germans and they are straightforward, hardworking and no bullshit w them

Q: What doesn't work when it's fixed?

This is interesting lens you see this through. Care to elucidate? Like ideal scenario you hve in mind but not a 30K foot view but rather a more granular delineation. Thanks, UTC. to me it doesn't seem possible, but what the fuck do I know. i have limited and poor intelligence.
You seem to be pragmatic and accomplished so I'm very interested. How could we invade Chicago? Thanks, man
