That one on 4117 Braeburn says it's worth 1.4M. That can't be right, could it? I live in Connecticut and seen some outrageous housing prices, but this for the square footage? Cmon now...

I lived in California for 4 years, believe me, it is definitely true. Real Estate out there is uber expensive, especially San Diego. I live in Mass and its uber expensive here but California is ridiculous.

SD real estate is bonkers my man - sunshine tax!

Wild to me how. much. money. these guys made bookmaking back in the day. Looks like we know what everyone did in the days before cell phones  So many guys were able to afford really beautiful homes - some of them palaces - and all seemed to be primarily bookmakers.

I wonder how many descendants from the SJ/SF crews are forever cursing their forefathers for flipping - these guys would be legit millionaires via real estate.

709 Morgan Street, Rockford was the home of Paul Scamardo, possible early LCN member. This was where bootlegger Ezra Duffy was held captive for a time by Scamardo, Tony Musso, Vincenzo Troia, Joe Stassi and Tony Catalano. Duffy failed to pay on a load of bootleg alcohol and the Rockford men held him hostage at Scamardo's home until he agreed to pay.
