It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

I note that JD has Gambino member Giuseppe LoPiccolo’s death as 12/12/1968. This guy died in Nassau County, and based on his birthdate given on the death record (08/06/1899), he’s the same guy who I had guessed was the right one previously: naturalized in Detroit in 1947, seems to have been the Giuseppe LoPiccolo born in Partinico who arrived in NYC in 1923 and then moved to Detroit. I’d really wonder then if this guy had been a Detroit member who transferred to the Gambinos. The Chicago heroin dealer Joe LoPiccolo (father from Monreale) also had ties to both NYC and Detroit.
"Hey, hey, hey — this is America, baby! Survival of the fittest.”
Beats the fuck outta me, the guy ain't human. That thing a while back where he identified a "new" early DeMeo hit victim based on fragmentary Vito Arena testimony made my head spin.
Attrition really ravaged the Gambinos during this period. Adding in the possibles and unknowns who also died they must have lost well over a third of their members before the books were opened again.
Pogo

He has Billy Bats as made so appears Hill's claim was credible.
Must be a mistake.
JD also mistakenly listed Ralph Sprizza as a deceased Colombo member on another list found on his site. Sprizza was later identified by the FBI as a Gambino member. I´m surprised to see JD making mistakes like that.
