Art Rooney Sr partners with the Mannarino Brothers
Hi All,
I came across this file where several informants stated that Art Rooney's Sr was a partner in the Coin Machine Distribution Company, a pinball and vending company owned by Sam Mannarino and Frank Manfredo. Anyhow, it has been widely reported Rooney won on a long shot at the track and purchased the Pittsburgh Steelers for $5000 with his gambling proceeds. He was also named in the 1990 Federal Racketeering Trial of Wheeling, WV crime boss Paul Hankish as one of the biggest players in Hankish's book.

Not to mention that "Old Man Art" was a regular at The Hollywood Social Club in Oakland - Pittsburgh. He regularly rubbed elbows with all the "Guys" especially Jo Jo.JCB1977 wrote:Hi All,

Ironic that 3 very successful NFL owners are tied to the Pittsburgh/Cleveland/Youngstown rackets??? 12 Superbowl titles by those three owners:roll:

Crazy how much shit connects back to Pitt/Cleveland rackets. I believe the Jacobs family gave Dalitz A loan for some of the startup money to get one of the casino deals started.JCB1977 wrote:
