That 1983 report is a great resource but does misidentify some guys as members who weren't. I don't know much about the Taccettas beyond the super well-known stuff though.

Had no idea they were Sicilian and from Villarosa. Great find. Lot of NJ guys from Enna/Caltanissetta. I'm thinking there was a group from there in the Newark Family.

I couldn’t really find anything on him pre-1970s, if he was made, maybe it was during that timeframe even if he was older.

The 1983 document also says that Thomas Riccardi was Michael & Martin Taccetta’s cousin. Does anyone know how exactly they were related?

Focusing on this family next. I posted a list of members, but if there's anyone that can add or refine it, itd be much appreciated.

Was Joseph Sica a Lucchese member?

This document lists him as a member in located in California. (https://books.google.ca/books?id=rWC76dk1ecoC&pg=PA248)

———

Other documents list him as a Los Angeles member. (https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... PageId=140)

——-

His affiliation was confusing. He may have had ties to Moretti. He was famous enough to have a Wikipedia page but half the sources listed are confusing him with the Pittsburgh member.

It's not too uncommon of a name but there was a Moretti-Boiardi Genovese with the same surname:

Angelo Carmen Sica
Angelo Landi
12/31/1919
Newark, NJ
81 Cobane Terrace, West Orange, NJ
Carmine Sica Avellino, Campania
Grace Fabiano San Sossio Baronia, Avellino, Campania
Florence DeNicola
Clothing Salesman
FBI #: 1627244; SBI #: 259569"
Soldier Boiardo

Here’s a member: Salvatore “Legs” Dolasco

——--

“ The made members in North Jersey were Lenny and Vito Pizzolato, Joseph Licari, Hams, and Legs Dolasco.”

New Jersey Mob Memoirs of a Top Cop [P.66]

———

This was his census information: (https://www.ancestry.ca/discoveryui-con ... 44924:2442)

———

The FBI’s dead list said he was Anthony “Ham” Dolasco’s brother but I don’t think that was true.

I don't think he's a confirmed member beyond the Buccino book which has some info that in my opinion needs corroboration. Could have been one, just need more info.

Dolasco referenced an FNU Abbate (ph) at the Atlantic City Coat company as the “Man we go through in my outfit”.

Image

The FBI seemed to think this was an Anthony Abbate but it seems clear that this was Joe Abate. This document is from 1960 meaning that he was capo at the time.

Unless there was a change, he was likely the Penooks (ph) in Atlantic City mentioned as Dolasco’s capo in this 1963 wiretap.

Image

Ben Pizzolato was suspected of being the aforementioned Penooks. However, as far as I can tell, he never lived in the Atlantic City area.

Yeah in the other thread we agreed "Penooks" was more likely Giuseppe "Pinuzz" Abate. Fits with Dolasco trying to touch base with him too. I'd say Abate should be carried as the NJ captain on the 1963 chart.

Also Ham Dolasco using "outfit" for Family is another example of that term in use in NJ.

More than our speculations, here’s the confirmation that Penooks was Joe Abate:

This is a great article on Joe Abate.

- He slipped into the country

- He was arrested a few times with the Gennas in Chicago. [1923, 1925]

- Police reports said he was a gun man for Vito Genna and Al Capone

- He used the names Joe Massei & Pino

- He moved to Atlantic City in 1934

- He worked for Tommy Lucchese in the 1940s after opening a cost company

B - Lucchese
U - Stefano La Salla
C - Vincent John Rao

Capodecina
Charles Chambello/Ciro Giampaolo
Antonio Corallo
Salvatore Curiale was still alive but may have stepped down by this time.
Joseph Laratro
Joseph Lucchese
John Ormento
Biagio Pizzolato - NJ captain
James Plumeri
Joseph Rosato
Salvatore Santora
Carmine Tramunti
Paul Vario was either captain or acting captain.

Soldiers on 63 chart-
Frank Arra
Joseph Bendenelli
Nicholas Bonina
Frank Callace
Frank Campanello
Paul John Carbo
Frank Cintrano
Sam Cavalieri
Paul Correale
Dominick Bianco
Donato Laietta

Vincent Potenza
Calogero Rao
Salvator Shillitani
Joseph Silesi (Gambino)
Nicholas Tolentino
Angelo Tuminaro
Joseph Vento
Anthony Vadala
Tom Valente
James Vintaloro

Is there an FBI list of soldier for the 60s? Having trouble finding one on MF.
It’s Andimo Pappadio and he was part of Ormento
crew and I believe he was married to an Ormento relative and was his right hand for the crew. His cousin Vic Panica was also made before 63 (i think) and also in the crew. Same with his younger brother Michael Pappadio who was made at some point.

All East harlem guys , 107th street and Andimo was very close with Tommy Luchesse

Thank you guys. Keep adding the names, the list I compiled was from 1963 and likely not complete. I know next to nothing about this group.

I did the updates and extracted what I could from the FBI book. So far I'm seeing alot of guys on Long Island and Staten Island. They do appear more Sicilian than the Genoveses but we'll see.
