Alfonso Conetto - Alessandria della Rocca, Agrigento
Onofrio Sciortino - Bagheria, Palermo
Joe Cerrito - Villabate, Palermo
Not sure the exact years but all are confirmed bosses.

Re: Visiting San Jose, 1963
An informant, who was likely Tony Lima, told the FBI Conetto was boss when in 1929 when the informant arrived in California. He says that Conetto was boss until he passed away, and then Sciortino took over.
He must have been mistaken because Conetto died in 1963.
Same DOB as this Conetto who died in October of 1963:
So we will need to add Alfonso Conetto as a soldier. Not sure when he would have stepped down and Sciortino became boss.
Sciortino died in September 1959, so Cerrito would have taken over sometime after.

Was Joseph P. Chiana a member?
---------
Mafia Membership Charts lists him on the 1960-90's chart
---------
(https://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/Digitiz ... 9NCJRS.pdf) [P.74]
He was partnered with Anthony Maggio in Masson Cheese Corp. and was previously an employee of Salvatore Marino's California Cheese Company.
---------
(https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... lPageId=10)
In 1956, his business card along with Charles Carbone's business card were found on Salvatore Marino when he was stopped with Pittsburgh boss John LaRocca.
---------
- He was born on April 13, 1923 in Tunis, Tunisa to parents from Campobello di Mazara, Trapani, Italy.
- He came to the US with his mother and sister in 1935 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... 3A24VL-2QR)
- He lived in Stanislaus County, CA with his parents Joseph Sr. and Maria. (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-co ... 1129:62308)
- HIs father had been a machine gunner for Sam Accardi, but according to his obituary, moved to California in ~1938. This means his father was a member/associate of the old Newark family.

Re: Visiting San Jose, 1963
Could very well be a relation, but they don’t seem to have been brothers at least. Dominick Anzalone named his first born son Joseph, so his father was obviously very likely named Giuseppe; his 1983 death record in Santa Cruz, CA, gives his mother’s surname as Urso, also (no online records for Ventimiglia in 1903 to confirm). Possibly cousins, though there are many Anzalones in Ventimiglia.Chris Christie wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 2:47 pmThere has to be a relation:thekiduknow wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 8:46 pm Anzalone, Domenic

Anzalone entered NYC in 1922 and filed his intention for naturalization in 1924, at which time he was living on 1St Ave on the LES. At least from 1940 through 1959, Anzalonewas living in North Belle Vernon, Westmoreland County, PA, where he owned a company called Novelty Amusement (presumably manufacturing or distribution of “gaming” equipment/coin-operated machines, red flag mob industry obviously) under the name Dominick Angelo Anzalone. That this was the same guy as previously in NYC and later in San Jose is indicated by the fact that he gives the same birthdate (1903/02/11) and the San Jose Anzalone lived in PA prior to moving to CA. In PA, however, Anzalone claimed that he was born in Louisiana, which was false. His second wife Antoinette “Anna” Panarella was born 1910 in Johnstown, PA, to parents from Ciminna.
As Ventimiglia and Ciminna were major source comuni in Chicago, we might expect to see some connections. There were a bunch of Anzalones from Ventimiglia in Chicago, including a Giuseppe Anzalone targeted in a 1916 “Black Hand” bombing attempt. I believe he was born in Ventimiglia in 1890; his wife was Desiderata Dispenza of Ciminna, who could’ve been a relative of slain boss Rosario Dispenza (maybe that explained the bombing attempt).

Salvatore Vassallo was probably related to Gambino capodecina Vincenzo LoCicero. He and most of his crew came from Sferracavallo.
