The following excerpt may be referring to the Dream Casino in Santo Domingo whose initial main investors were Antonio and Francesco Carbone of the GTA and billionaire Michael DeGroote:

L’implication du clan Rizzuto dans une maison de jeu de Saint-Domingue, capitale de la République dominicaine, a été soulevée dans le projet d’enquête Magot, qui visait plusieurs têtes dirigeantes du crime organisé québécois en 2015, a constaté notre Bureau d’enquête.

L’une des cibles de l’enquête était Stefano Sollecito, alors considéré comme le chef des opérations de la mafia montréalaise, chez qui les policiers ont mené une perquisition le 19 novembre 2015.

Parmi les documents qu’ils ont saisis, on note des relevés de plusieurs transferts électroniques de fonds totalisant près de 450 000 $, identifiés comme des « paiements à JP pour des dépenses », entre janvier et mai 2014.

Facture

Entre autres, on a relevé une facture de plus de 156 500 $ US entourant le retrait et le transport de 188 appareils de loterie vidéo du Casino Dreams, situé à Santo Domingo.

Le nom de M. Sollecito n’apparaît pas sur ces papiers saisis chez lui, mais celui de Gianpietro Tiberio, alias « JP », s’y retrouve.

D’après l’enquête, M. Tiberio a été envoyé par le clan Rizzuto comme « partenaire d’affaires » dans ce casino en République dominicaine, supposément par le défunt parrain Vito Rizzuto, décédé en décembre 2013.
