There were at least 4 Lenas who married Battaglias in New York State, 3 of them to 3 Charles, all three had children including names Charles/Carl.

Can someone help me in tracking down his 63 (or closest timeframe's) LA address, confirming where his father is from, mother's maiden name and origin, wife's name, occupation if possible? I'm having a difficult time tracking this guy down.

Left ones are correct Battaglias.

Here’s what I have for Battaglia. I’ll look again later to confirm the info is right.

Don’t have an LA address for him, but I can look for it.

Was talking to Rick about Bryan the other night.

Michelangelo Gennaro seems to have been an early mafia figure (leader?) in that area of Texas by the 1890s. His first cousin of the same name was identified as the boss of Corleone later on. Gennaro's son and grandson associated with the Piranios (Corleonese brothers who each led the Dallas Family) and his granddaughter married Joe Alioto, San Francisco mayor whose own father was an early SF member.

Bompensiero thought Alioto's father-in-law Lorenzo Gennaro (son of Michelangelo) was a Cosa Nostra member in Texas who was murdered, but it turns out he died of natural causes. Still possible/likely he was a member.

Justin Cascio has Michelangelo Gennaro's godmother in Corleone being a Cascio and his wife was a Pomilla/Rao (big Lucchese Corleonese names). Makes sense John Cascio of LA spent time in that area and shows the LA Family had strong ties to Texas given Frank Desimone and Tommy Palermo were cousins of Dallas boss Joe Civello.

Philly's Pete Casella also lived as a kid in the Bryan area; Brazos/Robertson County, Tx had a definite Sicilian colony that, like Alabama, seems to have been involved in agriculture. The majority of pre-1900 early Sicilian arrivals to Texas were from Poggioreale and Corleone.

His son was born in 1930 and died in 2003, I don't know which is the correct one.

For Gaetano Adragna, you mean Gaetano Dragna, right ? Because there is Adragnas in Cali but they were members in San Jose

Gaspare Matranga was member of the San Diego/Joe Adamo decina. He lived in Tijuana. He settled there after being deported to Italy in 1954

Frank Grattadauria is not a former member (or I missed something said here ?)

I don't know Alfonso Veneziano

Bennie Pizzotto is actually Rizzotto, maybe that's why you can't find. He died in 1990 https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Rizzotto-56

It looks you have the right Salvatore Pizzo (born in 1903)

Sorry, answers in disorders, but for now I can at least fill you in on that ^^ . For the addresses I have nothing more than what the localities that we had put on the chart that we had done 2 years ago

From what B wrote he transferred from Cleveland to LA in the 1940s.

Chris, if it's not too late and you think it's worth adding, I thought of 2 more members to add. To be more precise, one is a confirmed member and the other is not.

1/ Marco Impastato, who was Tony Mirabile's driver/bodyguard. He was identified as a member by Bompensiero, but died in 1962.

2/I strongly suspect Frank Fiorello of having been a member. He was married to Helena LiMandri, whose father and brother (Marco & Joe) were San Diego decina members. He was also friends with Joe Dippolito who was one of his pallbearers when he died in 1966. And above all he was big into narcotics and was connected with NY guys.

Unfortunately, I searched and never found anything regarding his membership. But his profile beeps my "mafia member" radar. I know this is purely speculative and maybe other experts like B or Antiliar or you will disagree, but I think he's a suspected member. In any case, someone well connected.

Your call. At worst it allows to start another discussion ^^ (or not)

I have Marco Impastato as born in 1898/04/16 in Àlcamo, entered the US at NYC in 1912.

On his WW 2 Draft Card, he stated that he was living at the Knickerbocker Hotel in SD and was unemployed. In 1950, he was staying (maybe in the same hotel?) in SD and listed his occupation as cafe manager; his son Gaspare “Casper” Impastato (born 1917 in BK) was living in the next unit.

Marco Impastato was naturalized in 1930 in LA, and travelled between Mx and CA that same year. While his naturalization lists his wife as Katherine — born in NY, married in 1915 — and Gaspare Impastato as his son, there was a Gaspare Impastato born in 1917 who was housed as an orphan in an institution in Manhattan in 1920; if it was the same kid, maybe Marco was incarcerated or out of the country and something happened to the mother.
