The Mob & Suffolk County
Anybody knows if any businesses are ran by mob figures/or have their presence out here? Yesterday I was at the Pizzeria in Clarke street in Brentwood & I remember someone had said that the owner’s father was a Gambino soldier. This morning I was looking through my social media & I saw this one girl I have as friends and she works in the Mirage Gentlemen’s club in Farmingdale which was a meeting place/hang out for Tommy Shots & his guys. Do these guys still hang out at places that were known to the public of them being there or due to LE pressure they’ve packed it up and took it elsewhere?

I don't know any personally but I'd be shocked if there was no mob activity in Suffolk. Nassau is loaded with mob - would be odd for Suffolk to have zero presence.
Re: The Mob & Suffolk County
Generally speaking, the further you get outside the 5 boroughs (Mafia ground zero), the relatively less activity you'll have. But Suffolk County certainly does have a mob presence. Lots of guys live out there. The Lucchese/Avellino case in 2016 and Gambino/Ambrosio case from 2017 were out of Suffolk. The most examples you'll see will be in indictments out of the Eastern District that, of course, covers all of Long Island in addition to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
All roads lead to New York.

You got that right. There are very nice parts of Suffolk apart from the Hamptons (Stonybrook, Northport, etc), but there are also a bunch of notably shitty areas (don’t get killed in Huntington Station, they’ll never solve your murder). There’s a ton of Italians out there and a lot of people who relocated from BK and QU, of course, so one has to imagine there’s some level of mob activity out there (at the least, connected businesses and the like).

That town is a real shitshow. The dark underbelly of Suffolk County definitely has a nasty side to it. Brentwood and Wyandanch can get rough too. Some of these LI towns are worse than the Bx.Shellackhead wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 1:52 pmHahahhaa Huntington Station.PolackTony wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 9:03 amYou got that right. Yeah I live in Brentwood, it’s not like it was before after the MS thing. Idk about the other ones.PolackTony wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 3:29 pmThat town is a real shitshow. Re: The Mob & Suffolk County
Would you say that Brentwood has been getting better, or worse? How would you compare it to Central Islip (which I understand has had a significant gang issue as well)? People familiar with Wyandanch have told me it’s been the hood for decades. When I went there, it definitely looked the part. Brentwood didn’t seem as bad by comparison. Wyandanch at least has the honor of having given rise to the great Rakim, while Brentwood can claim EPMD.Shellackhead wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 6:12 pmYeah I live in Brentwood, it’s not like it was before after the MS thing. My impression from visiting is that Mastic Beach/Shirley and Riverhead have some pretty depressed and run-down looking sections too. Gotta be a ton of drug activity in those areas.

Re: The Mob & Suffolk County
Yeah it’s gotten a bit better, all the MS & rest of gangs are laying low after the killings a few years ago. Central Islip is still hot though, more dangerous than brentwood MS & Crips/Bloods clash a lot in Central Islip.
And yeah, I remember I went to a party in mastic I remember seeing used needles on the ground it was crazy. Port Jeff is pretty dangerous too.

Re: The Mob & Suffolk County
I actually spent quite a bit of time in Port Jeff Station several years ago. The closer you get to the LIRR station, the seedier it gets. Lots of druggies and weirdos, drawn like moths to the flame around the train station. I’m from Chicago, so I thought that Long Island was all just wealthy suburbs, but what the fuck did I know. Didn’t realize that there’d be tent encampments of people living outside and shit. The cost of living and taxes are through the roof out there, traffic and the road conditions suck, the trains are always delayed and slow, half the people are completely insane, and there’s tremendous inequality. All that is true in the city too, but LI is its own weird universe. I like the North Fork quite a bit, but unless I had a job all the way out there, that lifestyle would never work.Shellackhead wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 9:58 pm Yeah it’s gotten a bit better, all the MS & rest of gangs are laying low after the killings a few years ago. My favorite LI story is probably the time that I was staying at a place out in Centereach, and I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood (you literally never see anyone walking around out there except for poor immigrant day laborer types). Then I got ran off the road on a quiet side street by some dude driving an actual monster truck, covered in lightning bolt decals and flying two huge Confederate flags. I had to run for it when the guy revved his engine and gunned the truck straight at me. I was like, where the fuck am I???

Yeah a lot of people have misconceptions of Long Island, everyone thinks it’s rich people snobby area but in reality it’s very diversified, to be honest I want to move out of the state it’s too expensive & im not prejudice at all because I’m an immigrant myself but the amount of Salvadorans that live here is annoying.PolackTony wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 11:13 pmI actually spent quite a bit of time in Port Jeff Station several years ago. Re: The Mob & Suffolk County
Long Island Sucks! And you are trapped out there ! Mob guys typically live in the South shore there are not totally saturated with Latinos. But it seems the Gambino family has moved out into Long Island rather then expand in NJ . Besides Merola and his crew you really don't have many Gambino's left in NJ compared to LI. North Shore of Long Island is Nice if you can afford it. North Fork section of LI is probably the nicest...and that's because you can easily forget you are in LI lol
