Re: Merlino
I was chatting with Bill Staxx who told me that Merlino told him he was starting a podcast smh. Not sure if he would have the cajones but it'd be huge, even he only stayed off mafia stuff. He could get some serious guests but I don't think he'd actually do it or is going to

No way Merlino gave bill staxx the time of day. I have a hard time believing that one.GaspipeCasso wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 6:20 pm I was chatting with Bill Staxx who told me that Merlino told him he was starting a podcast smh. That’s the guy, Adriana. My Uncle Tony. The guy I’m going to hell for.

I doubt Staxx would have a clue about what Joey is doing. Staxx doesn't have a clue about what he's doing.
If nobody sees it, it didn't happen.
Re: Merlino
DS had already mentioned on his IG months back that Merlino was looking to start a sports betting podcast, and it was then brought up on here. Not exactly inside info.

You were talking with Bill Staxx? It must have been around the 1st of the month when he had the money to put minutes and data on his phone. Did he also tell you how long it takes to round up $25 in bottle returns?
Jokes aside, I know it's tacky and classless, but Merlino probably would clean up and make a good amount of money if he did some sort of sports betting show + tout service combination. There's probably a lot of people out there dumb enough to pay for his picks

I'm going to revisit Mafia Prince soon I think. It's been a while - I don't think I've read it since it originally dropped . Scarfo is a hell of a character and this thread made me realize how insane it was, just thinking of the made-guys-per-capita type killings he was doing. High Noon Cowboy Style, just like he said LMAO. It's also kind of crazy he was able to basically run the whole city of Philadelphia remotely, running the whole thing sitting either in his apartment or a restaurant in AC. I know he was vicious as it gets but he really was a hell of a boss.
I spent a good part of my childhood visiting the shore but never went as far South as where the "Philly people" would go to...so I visited AC for the first time in my life, as an adult, last Summer. I was in and out within a night, but I got to see the Scarfo compound on Georgia Avenue. The place is fucking massive. Didn't look like it was in great shape but jesus, it was huge.
I am going to go back in August and could use some food recommendations. It seems like there's still some good places to eat in the "old neighborhood"

LOL. Yeah I figured he'd heard it from someone else. I just hadn't heard anything about it , I do think it'd be a big hit, especially with a proper co host. I def know he wouldnt speak to Bill. The story made no sense , he's a nice guy in person , short as a midget tho

across the street from white house subs is formica bakery, really good stuff, good cannoli
angelo's fairmont tavern
there's another italian resteraunt right around the corner from white house subs, it's good too but i can't remember the name--it's like 50 feet away

Re: Merlino
Thanks , last summer the line at White House was pretty damn long and I'm spoiled/picky when it comes to heros, with what I have in NY, as bad as that sounds.rayray wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 8:31 pmAC Grill has some good whole lobsternewera_212 wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 2:04 pm I'm going to revisit Mafia Prince soon I think. I think I'm going to try to hit Angelo's. Thank you. That looks like the spot.
It's not the nicest place by any means but I had a pretty good time in AC and hope to spend more time there this summer. Would have loved to seen it during its hey day...or it's second hey day basically, in the 80s

Merlinos in a good spot I belive he's beaten every murder they could pin on him. He could be boss of just neighborhood friends till he dies getting by on little envelopes. Till he dies. It helps he's respected across the board. I mean he's probably the most well known mob boss in the USA today. That's not a good thing thou
