Caponigro didn't like Bruno letting NY in on AC. He also didn't like how Bruno didn't forbade his family getting involved with drugs but allowed the Gsmbinos to deal on their territory.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.
Re: Let's talk about those Phillies
That's what Freselone said. Everyone thought at the time that Bruno was killed by the NY families for keeping them out of Atlantic City. Freselone explained it was the exact opposite - he was killed (by one of his own) for letting them in. Not that he could have really stopped them anyway.Pogo The Clown wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 7:39 am Caponigro didn't like Bruno letting NY in on AC. He tried the Sicilian slice... the Martoranos come from Belmonte Mezzagno like the Scafidis, etc. etc.

The 250-270 associate number was under Scarfo in the 1980s. It was undoubtedly higher than that under Bruno in the 1960s.
He didn’t come close to killing 13 made guys. He clipped Mickey DeVito, Pat Spirito, Chickie Narducci, and Sal Testa; that’s it.Chucky wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 6:51 am [quote=Dave65827 post_id=230248 time=<a href="tel:1653974926">1653974926</a> user_id=6844]
I forget where I read it but Bruno was the height of the organization was around 270 associates which is significantly more than what it is today
Was also reading rereading mafia prince and some of Anastasia’s old articles and damn did Scarfo ruin everything. Killed 13 made guys when the family never had more than 60 when he was around. If I remember correctly the total figure of guys murdered was around 40 people on top of the fed pressure and indictments fucking crazy.
It’s a miracle this organization still exists even in its declined state
I like GA but the dude gives each boss a narrative for whatever book he’s writing. He makes Scarfo out to be a cartoon character.
13 is probsbly the total he ordered killed during his time as Boss. From a list Wiseguy put together.
Hit's unders Scarfo during his time as Boss. Note that not all of these were ordered by Scarfo. Some were unsanctioned hits by rivals or sneak jobs.

Did you go up to him and say that? Or did you just put your head down and come on the internet to type it in a anonymous setting?Geeleonetti wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 6:17 pm I seen dom grande in lowes last year, It’s pretty comical anyone fears this guy. Re: Let's talk about those Phillies
What's crazy about Grande is in one of the Anastasia books it talks about Scarfo holding court at his confirmation party when he was a kid. All of the major players were there showing their respect to Scarfo.
Re: Let's talk about those Phillies
Louie Irish was Mikey Chang & Joey's crew. That didn't come from Nicky. Stevie Mazzone was mentored by Louie. That hit went down right after Ralph got into Joey's ear.

No, he went up to him and asked him if he knew there was a user on mob forum named ‘Teflon Dom’. Hilarity ensuedTeflon Dom wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 5:37 pmDid you go up to him and say that?
