Colombo member Jack Leale had a crematorium that was used to dispose of Lucchese member Michael Pappadio's body

palmieri's might have owned in niagra falls
Re: Mafia Undertakers / Funeral Homes
Michael Generoso was connected to the labella funeral home off the belt parkway near Bath Avenue.
Raccuglia buried a lot of wiseguys, not sure if he was ever involved, but Vinny’s son got mixed up and at one point was being shaken down by Joe Watts. I also recall news story at some point about Joe Watts being chauffeured in a limo owned by the Scalia Funeral Home in Staten Island.
Provenzano Lanza is an old time funeral home in East Village (buried Galante), and I know the Lanza wing of the family owned the former Lanza’s restaurant which was also linked to Tom Greco.

Was Guy Paneptino "the discount casket guy" from Toronto made? It's hard to know with some of the Canadians.

Frank Perna in Buffalo started what is now the Perna Roberts Dangler funeral home. Many of those associated with Buffalo LCN have been or has had family buried by them.

BTW Charles Durante ran Roberts Funeral Home for Perna. He committed “suicide” but LE had called his death suspicious. I believe he died the night before Bongiovanni was arraigned. Dennis Durante was involved in LCN drug trafficking.

Donald Panepinto, if related, it is a more distant relationship.B. wrote: ↑Fri May 20, 2022 8:02 pm Alfred Panepinto was an early partner in what became the Magaddino Memorial Chapel who was killed and it's possible he was a member. Not sure if Donald is/was also in that business or related to Alfred.
NickelCity would be the guy to know.
Didn't know Renda owned that. Great info.
Alfred Panepinto moved to Niagara Falls from Batavia in 1928 and became the mortician on record at the Panepinto Palmeri Funeral home at 496 19th Street in Niagara Falls. He was related to Sam Pieri via Sam's marriage to Carrie LoTempio. Alfred Panepinto dissolved his partnership with Paul Palmeri in early 1937 after he had trouble with some gangsters from Buffalo and the Falls. He was murdered later that year while playing poker at the LoTempio Pool Hall in Batavia. Panepinto's demise followed the 1936 murder of Frank LoTempio the cousin of Rose (LoTempio) Alfred Panepitno's wife. Frank was a bookmaker from Batavia who was not paying tribute to Magaddino. Hunt in his book DiCarlo Buffalo's First Family of Crime indicates that Alfred Panipinto was the final casualty in Magaddino's war against Batavia bookmakers.
The best I can tell Donald Panepinto's family tree is as follows:
Thomas Panepinto (born circa 1866 in Italy) a widower by the 1940 Census
Charles Jack Panepinto was Thomas' son.
Charles married Josephine Lobue. The couple gave birth to
1. Donald "The Turtle" Panepinto (Local 210 and alleged to have served as underboss for Todaro Sr. while Falzone was incarcerated.)
2. Sally
3. Charles Jr.
Don Panepinto married Lucy Marino and the couple had the following children
1. Marc partner in Dolce Panepinto Law Firm(Former NY Senator and LiUNA Labor Organizer, founding partner Dolce recently died of cancer)
2. Dana Christine (married Joey Todaro III now married to Steven Nanula) Steve is partners in the Woodlands Realty Group a Sinatra and Company investment vehicle along with Anthony Nanula (former NYS Senator who took Buffalo Mayor Masiello's senate seat), Philip Nanula, Paul Nanuala, Chris Collins (former US Senate Seat NY27-convicted of insider trading), and Nick Sinatra--brother of US Federal Court Judge John Sinatra, and Chef Michael Sinatra of Sinatra's Trilogy Restaurant--long alleged to be a mob hangout.
3. Don Jr. - Got a position with Buffalo Fire Department and now a lawyer in Dolce Panepinto Law Firm. Marc was convicted of election fraud trying to impress Mayor Masiello in order to get Don the job with the BFD.

Re: Mafia Undertakers / Funeral Homes
Surprised nobody has mentioned Joe Bonanno yet. He says in his autobiography, that he was a part owner of the Anello & Bonanno Funeral Home. Gay Talese, in his biography of Bill Bonanno, says Frank Labruzzo was a mortician and was a partner with Joe Bonanno in a funeral parlour. Talese also says that Labruzzo worked as a part-time undertaker in a funeral parlour that Joe Bonanno was a part owner of. The source for Gay Talese, for these stories about Frank Labruzzo, is obviously Bill Bonanno. It is not clear if all these stories about funeral parlours refer to one or more funeral parlours.
