Roy demo
I joined a group of weirdos on fb who do a little more then follow Roy demo and the Gemini crew... Anyways who was he made with ? Anyone know ? People were trying to say he was made with gotti but I know that Roy was not first choice when the books opened up to where gotti was.

Demeo was made on June 24, 1977 along with Greg DePalma and 8 other guy's. I have an idea on who ome were but not positive. Gotti was made at later ceremony that year.

Some possibilities are Tommy Bilotti, Robert “DB” DiBernardo, Jimmy Palmieri, Sal Franco and Louie Milito. A lot of ceremonies were held in 76/77 so its hard to figure out who was in which one. JD would know more.

Gotti wasn't released till August 77 so his induction will have been late 77 defo
Re: Roy demo
Roy DeMeo might not have been first choice but the dollars he was bringing in had to be really hard to ignore.
Wonder how he was viewed within the family? Even after he was made, when you read about the guy he seems like an outsider...maybe I'm just imagining that on my own because him and his crew come across as psycho's on paper.

Re: Roy demo
from what I know he seemed to only be with Nino... In murder machine it seemed like other crews were afraid of them and that the Gemini crew was always doing they're own thing. Never hear of them being at other social clubs and playing cards or really even working with other crews. Remember Roy had a fag, a Jew, a toothless race car driver, a bunch of psychos who were addicted to cocaine, and also worked with towel heads. Roy def seemed to be in a world of his own. To me him and his crew were very interesting. A big topic right now in that Facebook group now is if he was a snitch at the end. He was found with a tape recording device, agents have claimed that he was given a deal, he was known to talk to Kenny McCabe for hrs on end, and the fbi refuses to release his files.rayray wrote:Roy DeMeo might not have been first choice but the dollars he was bringing in had to be really hard to ignore.

I never heard of Roy D. being found with a tape recording device or talking to the FBI, interesting. Maybe that's why he was so paranoid near the end.

Re: Roy demo
its been very well documented that he was found with recording devices when he was found dead. The tape was taken of course. In murder machine it was stated that he would talk to the survaliance team. Of course they were not trying to hide the fact that they were watching him. Ed scarpo had an article up on his site about this subject and a supposed text message from a retired FBI agent stating that Roy was offered a deal. I'll see if I can find that articlerayray wrote:I never heard of Roy D. being found with a tape recording device or talking to the FBI, interesting. Maybe that's why he was so paranoid near the end.

Re: Roy demo
I remember the Mobsters episodes on Demeo, when they found him in the truck, he had a chandelier on top of his body...Aka, too much light on him, and he had to go.

Re: Roy demo
Here is a great breakdown of the Gaggi and Demeo Crews that JD put together a while back.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Known members under Gambino Captain Anthony Gaggi by the beginning of 1979:
1. Anthony 'Nino' Gaggi (54y)
Soldiers
- Frank Bonino (62y)
- John 'Johnny Pesche' Chiarello (66y)
- Joseph 'Joe Brewster' Delmonico (59y)
- Roy DeMeo (39y)
- Gregory DePalma (47y) (IP)
- James 'Jimmy the Clam' Eppolito (63y) (Murdered 10.1979)
- James Eppolito Jr. (33y) (Murdered 10.1979)
- Frank 'Butch' Guglielmini (54y)
- Joseph Guglielmini (69y)
- Accursio 'Swifty' Marinelli (68y)
- Victor Masotto (70y)
- Peter 'Petey 17' Piacenti (58y)
Associates [most with DeMeo]
- Vito Arena (37y)
- Henry Borelli (31y)
- James Coonan (33y) (Westies)
- Frederick DiNome (39y)
- Paul 'Paulie Pinto' Dordal (33y)
- Joseph 'Dracula' Guglielmo (51y)
- Philip 'Philly Glass' Massi
- Dominick Montiglio (32y) (On Record with Gaggi) (Fled 12.1979)
- Harvey 'Chris' Rosenberg (29y) (Murdered 5.1979)
- Edward 'Fast Eddie' Rendini (30y)
- Frank Santora Jr. (43y) (On Record with Eppolito)
- Anthony Senter (24y)
- Joseph Testa (24y)
- Patrick Testa (22y)
- Ronald 'Bulldog' Turekian (22y)
- Ronald Ustica (35y) (Partner with DeMeo in autotheft operation)
- Herman 'Hymie' Weisberger (59y) (On Record with DeMeo)
- + many others not listed
It's worth noting that several guys previously under Vincent Corrao in the 1970s wound up with Gaggi. There were likely others from that crew. but I limited it only to the ones named specifically.
After DeMeo's murder control of the Westies was given over to Daniel Marino, a Soldier under James Failla (these guys all go back to the original Lombardozzi-Gennaro regime). When Gotti became Boss he made Marino a captain and presumably most of Gaggi's remaining crew was put with him or broken up.
Another possible crew member would be Peter Castellana, but I'm not sure if he was moved at some point. I'd be interested to see if anyone can identify some more made members of this crew.

Re: Roy demo
Pogo, was James Eppolito Jr. in any way connected to Louis Eppolito?
Obama's a pimp he coulda never outfought Trump, but I didn't know it till this day that it was Putin all along.
Re: Roy demo
Gravano said he was friends with Roy deMeo so when he was killed Castellano showed him the news report and asked his opinion. The boss only asks for such opinions from friends of the murdered guy. This is a common tactic and there are many examples of it.
