Got it. Im in and out all year long. Been in to Sportivo a bunch but not in a while. Last time I was there Paul haf a broken arm but was still working the espresso machine. My uncle is the main bid manager for the biggest paint company in florida which is located in PompanoJohnny1and1 wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 3:03 pm Near the airport to me would have been Anthony’s Runway. Anthony Bruno. Mostly known for Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. Sold that and bought Taco Craft. Sold Taco Craft. Anthony’s Runway is still around, but Carlucci isn’t Bruno, so I don’t have any other knowledge of Carlucci’s place by FLL airport.
Lesser known was Bruno’s involvement in Waste Management. That’s history, and sure how one could prove that. But he was, and he now just is a restaurant and real estate guy.
I guess we’ll just leave it at I’ve eaten at your friends place in Pompano.
Again, very interesting conversation for me to have with you. Thanks for your responses. If you’re around Pomapno next winter, I’ll buy you a caffe. Danesi, which I prefer over Lavazza. We’ll have it a t a place where you might recognize some folks from Tampa. If you’re with me, there will be no issues. It’s certainly open to the public. And the public walks in from town to time. But most don’t go unless they are known. Or at least spend a lot of time there unless they are known or perceived to be safe.
No skin off of my teeth. Just buying a guy some caffe. I got nothing to hide or worry about.

Older guy Paulie? Genuinely nice person. Had some heart issues iirc. I don’t remember him having a broken arm last winter.
If you’ve been there, you know the deal. And if you have a Tampa background, you know the connection, maybe the former connection, but you know.
We’re on the same page.

I know who you’re speaking of. I’d guess him older. I’m in my 50’s. I’m always out front smoking a cigar. Winters though. I’m never there in the summers. Paulie is a genuinely nice person.
The other Paolo is dead:

He owed some people some money. Some tried to make the story more than it was. Unfortunate accident. He hung out there too. We always got him his stuff for free.

Re: 6 charged in Genovese bust
So, I have an interesting background and personality. I think it is funny, but I know it isn’t. The good part of humanity has won over the bad part of humanity in my life for a long time now.
We were speaking about this, and we all started laughing. Then later the ones of us that changed (aka quit) spoke about how we weren’t normal to think something like this was funny. And we felt bad. Other didn’t feel bad.
When I say I hate the YouTube videos that glamorize all of this. This is one of the reasons. It’s not a well lit together group of people. Not everyone, but enough.
Another thing we always say, “and you want to be Italian”

Here he comes again mr know it allWiseguy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 3:51 pmNot sure how Florida is the future.Johnny1and1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 3:38 pm @wiseguy
I’m going to have to respectfully disagree as it regards Florida.
Florida is the future. The present as we have seen in countless federal indictments.
Connecticut I know less about. I know it is a wealthy state. I know sanitation is in play in Connecticut and extends into New York. I know the Connecticut river divides NE from where NY guys are supposed to operate. A rule not always adhered to, but the traditional dividing line and rule.
Connecticut does add to my argument about cooperation. Even with motorcycle gangs. I’d suggest a simple Google search of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Club, although in Springfield Mass, would provide some interesting reading. A place I’ve been too before FWIW. As an invited guest. It’s open to the public, not sure how welcome they’d be made to feel though.
At the risk of the other guy on here replying with another “whatever you say” snide remark that adds nothing, I’m related, and friends with some gentlemen that would know.
I can factually tell you that Florida is full of “gentlemen” There is a social club in pompano beach. They play golf at Adios. There is an Italian cafe next to a cigar place on Oakland park Blvd in the same mall as Martaranos.
Look up the owner of cigar republic. Look up his federal court filings. Look up caffe Sportivo. Look up ocean manor resort and Vito Vizzi. Look up his father, who isn’t doing well by the way.
Tom Mix ran his first marijuana thing in an office building in that area. He’s in Delray.
I can list more that I’ve seen, met and engaged with. And no, I’m not associated at this point, and don’t want to be. It’s a long story and you’re not going to get all of it.
But do some searches of these locations and names. Florida isn’t as bad as nyc where gentlemen trip over each other, but outside of Chicago and NYC, it’s about as densely populated with gentlemen as anyplace in the USA.
If you look at the number of indictments, there was a huge drop off in indictments from the first decade (36) of the 21st century to the second (7). That's an 80% decline. Again, I'm not sure there are any crews actually based there anymore. The bulk of whatever guys are there seem to be on vacation or retired. Back in 2011 the FBI said Russian OC was a more pressing concern than LCN. Florida seems to be be trending the way Las Vegas/the western states did for the NY Mafia.
Springfield is another example. There doesn't appear to be a functioning crew there anymore. One known member still living and he's in prison. The handful of associates that remain are under a NY based crew. I'm aware of the Mt. Carmel Club. It's been in the news, though it seems pretty irrelevant to this discussion.

Yet heres another indictment out of Florida with a crew out of Florida between Gambinos and Cosa Nostra in 2010. Feel free to play semantics if need be.

2 other big busts in Florida for Genovese and Colombos in 2009. Right at the cusp of your 2nd decade macro trends requirement "Wise"guy. Gotti Jr. banged again in 2008.
If we count Italian overall...ndraghenta busted in real estate crimes in 2014.

Like I said in the other thread - reading comprehension. Or, in your case, lack thereof.Newyorkempire wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 6:44 pm Yet heres another indictment out of Florida with a crew out of Florida between Gambinos and Cosa Nostra in 2010. Feel free to play semantics if need be.

I said there were dozens of mob cases from 2000 to 2010. The next decade it dropped considerably to only a fraction of that. There's no case you can show me I'm not aware of, Johnny-Come-Lately. Now go away. Trying to explain anything to you is a waste of time.

Love it. Youre busting at the seams now. Youre in a forum that your strive to convince people of your opinion where you have a ranking, that fanbase has dwindled to essentially Pogo. Read what people think about you. I could be anyone from anywhere using 8 different names from 8 different forums. The facts about you still remain. Youre a cuckold for the FBI then contradict yourself in the same post giving your opinion. Typical woman/cuckold. Utah is a perfect place for you to be from. Makes total sense.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 7:54 pmThat's the second time you've mentioned being "upped." Remember Rooster, now that you got "upped," you can't be seen around the pizza parlor anymore. And Vacari needs to quit his job.
