Anastasia has used him as a source before in recent years, unfortunately. I hope you're wrong, but you could very well be right.Cheech wrote:Ok I could be wrong I just know Capeci and Anastasia have used them in the past. And it was about Merlino not perna. Read it again. The arrests happened in 2007. That's when that affidavit was released that had all the recorded conversations that gave an inn depth look at the bookmaking business - who handled what packages, betting limits set, wins or losses for the week, etc. The actual indictment came down in 2010.Rocco wrote:http://www.nj.gov/oag/newsreleases10/pr20100514a.htmlWiseguy wrote:The original chart can be seen here.Rocco wrote:They used to be on here. The affidavit, which I think you posted, Rocco, used to be in the RD forum. Well, there was a link to it anyway but I think it went dead a long time ago. I could try looking for it but it's probably tough to find. It was very interesting and an in depth look into the bookmaking business.
That's the Fed 2010 indictment above however to be able to read the back and forth between Joe Perna on the car ride with Matty and Joe back to Long Branch after the making ceremony you have to find the 2007 NJ STATE Indictment since they were the ones actually doing the initial investigation and indictment. I cant find it anywhere.
2007 NJ indictment...its gone.. was on the right side of the page as a PDF. They removed it when the case was settled probably.

Re: Gangland:12/10/15
The State lead an investigation and arrested everyone in Dec 2007. A Federal Indictment followed in 2010. Feds basically jumped in and used all the evidence from the state case to build their own and follow with an indictment in 2010. Happens all the time with these LCN cases. Double indictments from State and Fed. I think they do this because the Fed time is always long with the inmate serving more time. You are paroled much earlier with the state even though the prisons suck in Rahway and Trenton. If you lucky you get a low security state prison in South Jersey. But even there are all Gang bangers on the tail end of their sentence and not deemed a high security risk. Lets just say the inmate Clientele in Fairton or Fort Dix Fed Prison are much better if your a middle aged Wiseguy. You can spend your days playing cards with corrupt NJ politicians and other wiseguys.

Yeah. He was quoted in an article about Stefanelli that Anastasia wrote: http://www.nj.com/inside-jersey/index.s ... _wire.htmlIvan wrote:Wait are you guys talking about fucking Lenehan here? Capeci I am pretty sure had a RD account and read PIC on there discussing Stefanelli on there.B. wrote:Yeah. I don't know about Capeci, but George Anastasia (who wrote the article) did have a RD account under the name "GAnastasia". I don't believe he ever posted, though. I'd be curious if he lurked the board much or if he was too turned off by us savages.Rocco wrote:Capeci I am pretty sure had a RD account and read PIC on there discussing Stefanelli on there.B. wrote:Yeah. I think they both did that. But I was starting to see a pattern of that more with Capeci. I am sure when Pic wasn't ripping off old people in the Tampa area with his Two Old Guys Concrete/Construction company he was calling both Capeci and George leaving them multiple messages in an attempt to be relevant ...

That's the thing... I am sure Big Stevie the Irish Meyer Lansky did know the Pernas to some degree as he says, but his grandiose lies have ruined his credibility.
