But this is where we go back to the point I've made before about the ultimate goal for the feds being to destroy the mob as an organization. It may seem unfair to let one guy off the hook to convict another but making deals with turncoats has always been a key part of attacking the mob. Its about bringing to an end the criminal organization known as the Bonanno Crime Family more than making sure Vallenti also gets his just desserts. And it's always going to be lowlifes like him who have info to give on other lowlifes. Birds of a feather...
yep yep in the hopes of being Asaro down they hope to bring his crew down and the ultimate goal is to dismantle the family. I know I was just wondering since your on the law enforcement side if you saw snitches in a different light. It's still gonna be a while until they dismantle an entire crime family. The Colombos will be the first to go out of nyc but it's been done many times before remember the country started out with 24 crime families they are now down to about 8 or 9 give or take on who you are talking to. Not all of it was the govt doing... Here in Pittsburgh greed jealously and not adapting to new ways put the Larocca family down. Of course along with many indictments. However it was nuts that the family went down so quick bc just as late as 96 or 97 they were killing political figures. Good convo wise guy hope u had a good thanksgiving and your new marriage is going well.

The self-serving hypocrisy shown by turncoats isn't lost on me. I recognize what they are. I just see them as a necessary evil, for lack of a better term. And I've always said that it's attrition that ultimately does away with the families. But prosecutions - aided by rats - certainly helps the process along. And, at least in New York, the mob still has the ability to bounce back if the feds slack off too much.
All roads lead to New York.
