If Brescio is from Little Italy and related to Larry Brescia he likely came up under Peter DeFeo/Alex Morelli.
Dente Jr came up under his father Joe Dente Sr who was from the Arthur Avenue crew.
Nichilo is from the Gravesend/Cony Island area so that would be the Tieri/Lombardi crew.

Joe Dente Sr ran his own Arthur Avenue crew? Or was that the Larry Black crew that Patsy Parello took over? I think it's kinda crazy they'd have multiple crews up there but I guess back in the day there may have been a need / reason for it . Larry Black seems like an interesting guy that there's not too much known about

In the early 70s I met a Michael Genovese at camp in Tionesta, PA. Another Michael Genovese introduced him as his cousin from New York.
Most common belief is that Pittsburgh Michael was not a direct relative of the New York Genoveses. Maybe like other Italian families that
introduced us kids to their close friends as "Uncle Joe" rather than just Joe,thus this New York MIchael was Pittsburgh Michael's "cousin?
I was in the construction business an did a job on Clay Ave. in the Bronx and I lived in Manhattan. New York MIchael and I met for dinner.
We met at Umberto's where he obviously no stranger. We talked about my job and he gave me his number and told me "call me if needed".
If my gibberish makes any sense to anyone please tell who New York Michael might have been. FWIW: He certainly wasn't an "Ordinary Joe".

John Brescio is Larry Brescio’s son. I think Carmine Polito is in his crew now. Maybe this crew was the Ross Gangi crew? Think Polito may have once been in Gangi crew

Polito is acting capo for Brescio according to Capeci.
There's a rumor that was posted on here by a couple of posters that black Dom the Colombo associate ended up with the Genovese and is in Brescio's crew.

I think you may be right. Makes sense given the general timeframe and location (i.e. Manhattan).
Lombardi worked at a restaurant in Little Italy, where he became acquainted with several organized crime figures, including Joe Zito. Zito was a “soldier” in the Genovese Family and led a “crew” that reported to Rosario Gangi, a Genovese Family “capo.” Lombardi and D'Urso became members of Zito's crew and participants in Zito's loansharking activities. Polito, a cousin of Lombardi, owned and operated a pizzeria in Queens.
