Own A Piece of Rockford LCN History

Post by cavita »

The Grant Park Tavern at 3015 Kishwaukee Street is up for sale for $400,000. The tavern was owned on paper in the 1940s by Anthony Zacharia a Rockford LCN associate and was secretly controlled by Consigliere Joe Zito. Zito "owned" the business and many others through frontmen and he had complete control over the Grant Park Tavern up until his death in June 1981. The tavern was the subject many times in his FBI files.

Gambino realtors  Gotta wonder if another Gambino or two were ever in there in the Rockford heyday if they owned it that long.

LOL! These Gambinos are not related in any way to the NY ones.
