I think Vito Rizzuto's wedding was fairly big too
If I didn't have my case coming up, I would like to come back with you gentlemen when this is over with and really lay the law down what is going on in this country.....

Just curious: Has anyone ever been to one or more of these over-the-top Mob weddings?

Yes the boss or reggente should be Giovanni Inzerillo that stayed in sicily with his mother after Riina killed his father in 1981.

I’ve actually looked for articles re the Tommy Gambino / Frances Lucchese wedding and came up empty. Curious about who attended, entertainment, etc.

April 16, 1974 Salvatore "Totò" Riina and Antonietta "Ninetta" Bagarella get married in secret because Riina is a fugitive in a place halfway between Palermo and Capaci. The priest Don Agostino Coppola was later suspended ad divinis because involved in a kidnapping.
Ninetta is the sister of Leoluca Bagarella and the wedding created an alliance between the two families.

A curiosity: Buscetta who was shelved by the mafia because divorced twice and was famous as a man who preferred women and money to power, had always made fun of Riina because he said "Totò you had only had sex with a woman because you prefer the power to the sex".

Not to be a bigger pain in the assthan I already am, but I asked a couple of years ago if anyone else has actually been to one of these "Extravaganzas".
So far no one else? I've been to three, two Jo Jo Pecora's Daughters at the Holiday House in Pittsburgh and Charlie Murgie's Daughter at the Mural Room in downtown Youngstown. Only one involved a couple from two "Families". Jo Jo daughter Connie married Frank Amato's Grandson. 1,500 seemed to be the most common number of invited guests, go figure. Charlie's "extravaganza was the most elegant and he gifted the newly weds with a wholesale business in Warren, Ohio that supplied all the Church Bingo games in three different states: Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia and it's still cashin' out :)

Where can I find information on how they moved into the northern panhandle of West Virginia? I know you know but this isn't thread for it-but I know you can direct me to the right place.

I have no idea nor have I ever read of the how John, if it was John, decided to settle on the Panhandle of West Virginia being Rt.30 from downtown Chester, West Va. to Rt. 2 going into Pittsburgh. Starting with The Club 30, a full size deluxe casino with full service restaurant and live entertainment.
