Why exactly did Steven Crea Jr. get 12-13 yrs?
Creas son Steven D Crea seems to have not been arrested before for any mob related activity and he gets a dozen yrs in an FCI in Texas. I remember his attorney stated he took more time to not admit to the Meldish murder... which makes no sense to me. Idk what exactly happened, but I felt like that was alot of time. Was it they were going to put him on trial with his father and he could of gotten life?
More over, knowing you probably never see your father again bc he will most likely die in prison before he gets out. That to me right shows how rough that life is and you got to be built mentally some kind of to prepare yourself for that.

Well he was looking at life in prison so he was smart to take the plea deal, who included murder conspiracy. And the fact that he's a higher level position in organized crime factors into it as well.
All roads lead to New York.

A lot of times CONSPIRACY carries more time then the actual crime and he ordered it so he’s looked at same as actual killerTonyd621 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 9:02 am Creas son Steven D Crea seems to have not been arrested before for any mob related activity and he gets a dozen yrs in an FCI in Texas. So planning the murder gives you more time then actually being the killer?JeremyTheJew wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 9:23 amA lot of times CONSPIRACY carries more time then the actual crime and he ordered it so he’s looked at same as actual killerTonyd621 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 9:02 am Creas son Steven D Crea seems to have not been arrested before for any mob related activity and he gets a dozen yrs in an FCI in Texas. So then why not take less time if your going to plead to being involved in the murder anyways?
Re: Why exactly did Steven Crea Jr. get 12-13 yrs?
It probably doesn’t help he’s a high rank king member of an organized crime group which his father is the underboss of.
He got 12-13 for the attempted ulsheimer hit I believe. It also looks like he probably played a part in the murder of Meldish aswell as Londonio was part of his crew and I’d imagine it would be hard to ignore a crew member participating in a hit for the boss

I think he wanted to avoid admitting to the Meldish murder so it wouldn't hurt his dad and the rest of the administration, who denied involvement.

He was offered 10 to plead to the Meldish but refused. If the case is overturned, he could, even with a plea, renegotiate as his first plea was based on informant testimony now considered not reliable.

Yeah but Paulie Roast Beef Cassano, the guy who actually went to the house to carry out the hit got what 2, 3 yrs if that.Dave65827 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 11:30 am It probably doesn’t help he’s a high rank king member of an organized crime group which his father is the underboss of.

Well you where asking about Crea jr not cassano. If anything he should’ve gotten more time considering he was willing to do the hit and especially since he was the only guy that wasn’t geriatric from the indictment.
Here’s this direct quote from Crea Jrs lawyer
“Our client did not enter a plea of guilty to the murder of Michael Meldish because he is not guilty of that conduct. In fact, he took more time rather than enter a plea to something that is not true”

Re: Why exactly did Steven Crea Jr. get 12-13 yrs?
Crea junior had the least criminal involvement in not just that hit but the rackets in general and he got the most time. Is that a self righteous by Crea Junior? Hey look I didn't do this murder so I'm not pleading guilty and he got more time. Or does it have to do with maybe possibly future charges and that murder ties some RICO bsDave65827 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 4:55 pm Well you where asking about Crea jr not cassano. The Ulzheimer "hit" conspiracy sounded like complete bullshit
