I agree with you Furio that both Flemmi and his brother the Bear were serial killers who should not have been used as informants by the FBI

Unfortunaly after Hoover death in 1972,the FBI had old infos,few high ranking informers they had to prove to the public opinion that was seriously engaging against the American mafia. and given that the results justify the means to obtain them. Connolly was seen as a hero despite his colleagues called him Cannolli because acted more like a mobster that a fbi agent.

yes I know it,I read the book Black Mass and Connolly recruited Bulger because both of them was from South Boston,I'm referring on connolly attitudes: expensive dresses, gold necklaces and pinky ring.
