Mercurio died in little rock Arkansas by himself no family n witsec. His lawyer released a statement years ago qhen he died. He was sorry he flipped it destroyed his life ect. He gave up the induction ceremony i always wonderd why he knew he was there. He even turned the tv down. And the guy didnt even really flip. He knew about alot of murders and he never pinned anyone. More wiseguys at a menace of long sentences maybe in federal prisons prefer to flip but after in Witsec where they are nobody with no respect,no big money ecc they regret their choice,but there was many cases like Mario Riccobene that turn to philly or Gravano that create a meth rings,Henry Hill arrested for drug traffick in witsec ecc at least they are criminals that haven't the balls to go to jail.

I think most of them are glad they flipped because they would have been dead otherwise..Many of them get older and look back at their career as criminals and realize they wasted their lives. I just finished Teresa's book and he said he was happier than he had ever been in his life. Guilt is powerful and they know they were scumbags who's life work was to screw over people.
