Blackfriars massacre in Boston

Hi everyone and what do people know about the Blackfriars massacre that happened in Boston? I think that it is still an unsolved mystery during the time that Bulger and Flemmi were informants for the FBI.

Were the two suspects Italiano and Ierardi connected to the Patriarca crime family and the Winter Hill Gang?

Were the Frizzis that were mentioned in the article made men in the Mafia? I seem to recall that there was a Guy Frizzi in Casey Sherman's book about Barboza called the Animal.

Cono Frizzi Sr. was a made member. He died in 2000. Not sure about Frizzi Jr. He died in 2011.

it looks like that Nicky Femia from Barboza's East Boston crew was one of those indicted with the murders at Blackfriars according to the article below.

Femia was a made guy. If i recall gerry anguilo hates him. He was made really young in the late 50tys. He hung around winter hill guys.

Why did Angiulo hate him?

I believe that Femia was killed trying to rob a package store with a shot to the head from the manager, but don't quote me on that. Something similar. Most likely he was coked out and shot up the Blackfriars. Whitey roughed him up one day too for putting his lunch on the hood of Whitey's car.

its funny i read whitey put his hands on femia i think in the book black mass then kevin 2 weeks cleared up that story in his book. he said he read that story to and laughed he said femia was a stone cold killer and that no way was whitey slappinh him or talking shit to him. femia comes up in ray patrarca files in the 60tys he was probaly under lombardo or someone other then anguilo. angulio talked alot of shit about him but femia must have been with some other capo

I am surprised that he was a made guy because I thought that he was with Barboza and the Bear during the Sixties.

What do you know about the two alleged suspects in the massacre. I think that their names are Ierardi and Italiano

It seems from Mark Wolf report on the Bulger case that is presented below that both Bulger and Flemmi were accused by Ierardi of being the triggermen during the massacre but he had failed a polygraph.
