I think they borrowed and didn't pay back Dee Dee Gioacchini. That's why Carmen left town. I remember reading that Dee Dee was on the shelf when Carmen became boss, not sure if that's accurate or not.

Salemme was blood thirsty after the attempted hit on him. He ordered a ton of hits in the 90's.

My understanding is that the DiNunzios were working with the Spilotro bros as well as Chris Petti (Chicago associate) in NV/CA.

The book Rifleman which is a collection of Flemmi's debriefings talks about Baby Shacks being an informant. Also David Boeri in the radio program below also says that Manocchio had been an informant. It is about 7 minutes in.
