Fred "Porky" Poradyla (my avatar, BTW. Have to represent for the Polacy, lol) would make sense as a suspect for the hit.Snakes wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 6:11 pmPorky Poradyla, I assumeEd wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 5:20 pm Rosenthal (Achilles) claimed Harry Aleman and "Corky" committed the murder. I don't know what kind of relationship Rosenthal and Glick had, but I could see Rosenthal throwing some underserved dirt on him for personal reasons.

Thanks Ed. I knew I'd seen that somewhere but couldn't remember where.
EYYYY ALL YOU CHOOCHES OUT THERE IT'S THE KID
Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
Thanks. That helps a lot. Still have trouble with the informant info though. Just have issues with Glock ordering a hit. Aleman being involved also seems odd. Not known as a west coast guy. But very possible.Ed wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 5:20 pm Rosenthal (Achilles) claimed Harry Aleman and "Corky" committed the murder. (I think "Corky" was an Outfit associate nicknamed "Porky.")

Nick Calabrese was sent to Arizona to do a hit. If they send you somewhere, you go. I assume it was more like them asking Glick if she would be a problem. If he says "yes," she is gone.Adam wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 5:19 amThanks. That helps a lot. Still have trouble with the informant info though. Just have issues with Glock ordering a hit. PT, I always wondered about your avatar! Porky looks like a sweetheart.
Rosenthal was a duplicitous guy, navigating mob waters for so long, mixing with underworld heavyweights. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if he threw shade on Glick, a rival, to take him down.
Also, did it ever come out that Glick supplied Intel during the 1970s? Again wouldn't surprise me at all if he was talking with the FBI the whole time he was running the casino.
I agree that Glick probably didn't order the murder, more like he brought it to the attention of his superiors that Rand was a problem.

Dorfman was the veteran - he served in Saipan and had numerous medals - though SOB but the Outfit killed him. I don't think Glick served.Tonyd621 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 3:00 pmI agree IVAN. Spec ops back then-you have to be one tough SOB. Training is still tough but soft compared to what they had to do to pass muster back then. No auto extraction air drops where you dnt even have to pull the rip chord anymore. Glick landing into enemy territory where it's otherwise inaccessible to other troops surrounding by that jungle and enemy combatants.

I know Dorfman was also a decorated veteran - ironic how many guys in these Outfit scams actually served their country prior to trying to rip it off.

Now I'll tell ya I'm biased because I served. And I can go into all aspects of it, but at the end of it my biggest surprise will be asking myself is why they flipped... prison should not be a place they are scared to face. One of the best characteristics in the military to have is integrity so they lived it their whole life-why not die with integrity? Idk why? I can't relate because I never been in their situation but that's just my opinion.SolarSolano wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 9:59 amI stand corrected. I personally don't think anyone around the Outfit had or has integrity - these guys were ripping off the retirement benefits of blue collar workers with the Teamsters - guys who were supporting families. I come from a long line of laborers active in unions - these scams did hurt people. I think some of these guys who turned to crime following the military would have done so anyway. Sociopaths.Tonyd621 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 10:23 amNow I'll tell ya I'm biased because I served. Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
I'm in the ironworkers union and some immediate family members being in the labor union trades as well. I honestly can't say I've been directly effected. I got a few stories. I can't imagine being a teamster and finally get my 30 yrs or credits whatever it is now and going to cash out my pension check that I never withdrew from in all my years of working and find out there is nothing there. I mean I would maybe consider suicide if I experienced that.SolarSolano wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 11:11 amI personally don't think anyone around the Outfit had or has integrity - these guys were ripping off the retirement benefits of blue collar workers with the Teamsters - guys who were supporting families. Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
Oh absolutely. And Chicago guys going west for a hit is not as weird as New York guys going out west for a hit. The one D'Arco's kid did in California was always weird. But I'm surprised Aleman never got tagged for that one if he actually went. For Christ's sake the 18 hits that are often attributed to Aleman include Kansas City ones that we know he wasn't involved in. Thought the Rand one would have popped up if that were a possibility.Snakes wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 5:47 amNick Calabrese was sent to Arizona to do a hit. If they send you somewhere, you go. But yeah, I can very much see Glick getting asked if Rand is a problem, him saying yes, and then things just happen. It was millions of dollars. But Rosenthal was a pretty self serving guy. Hew would throw shade at others.
Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
Guys, was there any evidence at all that Angelo LaPietra was active, even in an advisory role, after his release from prison? I'm aware he sat around in his territory a lot just staring at people but was he noted to be present at any sitdowns or anything like that?
